From the art and the concept I instantly knew it was made by the same makers from WH40k. I was at an anime convention and saw this TTG advertising. I love how it's crossover with Dark Souls/WW1. Very dark and gory. I love it! ❤

I´ve been in hobby for 4 years now, painting and playing 40k exclusively. In last months I had artistic block and couldn´t get to painting at all. I got Heretic Warband for Trench Crusade, printed them and right now I´m sitting and painting my Chorister. It´s great to have something like this because now I can switch between those two and always have fresh ideas and motivation.

The Artillery Witch was the mini that sold me on the entire setting. I was a backer in spirit as soon as I saw that one previewed. So yeah, pledged for the Heretic Legion faction, even though I want more than that. Maybe one of these days I'll get a 3d printer and buy the STLs for the others.

Same here. I had seen other concept art that I thought was cool but seeing the forces of hell, specifically artillery witches responding to technological advancements like battery emplacements by summoning shells is just another level of sick. It’s also nice seeing a war game that has a level of respect and involvement with its heretic legion.

Someone else has mentioned this already but 2nd death commando is a goetic warlock, a mercenary that heretic legion can use. Wish I could use one for my trench ghost variants but it's not viable in rules 1.26. Anyway, enjoyed the video dude :)

I think New Antioch and Heretic Legion were the factions that appealed most when I looked over the website, and when Kirioth was covering them too. I'm actually going to try and play with 10 mm models. It being set during the Great War larger battles just seems appropriate. Also it is in my opinion that the art is gruesome to just be gruesome, which makes sense in the context of the game. What really drew me in was the lore and background history of the game world.

I am into TC since day 0. I was waiting for that KS for almost 2 years. I have it, I almost finished painting whole Trench Pilgrims (there is even my Shrine Anchorite in the video :) ) and already played some games. It is awesome - fast, easy to learn and with enough tactical depth to make me want play another game. The lore, art and the minis are so good that I already convinced into it my gaming group and new players, who had never tried any wargames got into this as well. So the bright future if for this game.

Ngl the Grell hound is the unit where if my opponent plops it down, I'm prioritizing it's immediate and overwhelming disintegration. The Black Grail designers are talented in the art of utter and thorough disgust to point of nausea

So the "Trench Fanatic" is actually what's called a Martyr Penitent. They died and then were resurrected by the power of God or one of the Meta-Christs to continue fighting with increased strength and speed. That's why he has a chunk missing. He died and then was brought back. Edit: 23:16 That's not a death commando, but a Goetic Warlock. They're a completely different unit that's good at both range and melee.

The thing that worries me about the game is that ALL of the discussion is about models and the aesthetic. That stuff is all cool, but at the end of the day this is a game, and there is almost zero discussion about gameplay. Its true on KZbin, Discord, Reddit and even IRL. Its all about aesthetics.

A lot of Mutant Chronicles and Hellgate: London vibes coming from this one. Kinda wish there would be a 2D- version to test the rules since those minis can't be cheap nor plenty to go around... 20k+ backers prolly don't cover the cost of a very larger initial mini runs? "Mature" is something I personally am sort of worried with some 40+ years of experience in gaming of all sorts. Hype's real, though. Lots of questions, maybe time will tell... Havin witnessed oh so many "The Next Greatest Things" come and go does kinda turn one into cautious spender.
