He had standard concert attire with him - but it was 105F on a ranch on Southern CA.

Thanks for bringing this to my attention - unfortunately, I cannot find anyplace within KZbin that I can fix the issue - short of deleting the file and re-uploading it which will lose all the comments and ratings. Their site says if a file isn't playing to wait as their servers may be updating - but it looks like it's been like this for some time which is not a good indicator! I'll keep an eye on it and if it goes much longer, I'll delete and re-upload.

Doug used to play the Chapman Stick in a band in the '80's called Dexter (I think) that won the "Best Unsigned Band" in the nation for that year! He took a lot of his techniques from The Stick as well as Michael Hedges influences to his style!

Freaky fingers! almost looks like his left hand has a mind of its own..great stuff

i find very hard to get clean and strong sound out of left hand's finger picking. So i'm sadly aware that i'll never get this one, and it sucks because i'm fucking LOVING this one!

Check his website - he's got a tab book with many tunes...

Professional guitarists have manicured nails on the right hand in order to have that crisp clean sound. It's not a fashion statement - its an occupational necessity.

is it good for making percussive sounds like drifting by mckee?
@Yakushii15 жыл бұрын
He should be playing the chapman stick, because the way he plays that guitar is really quite similar. But ofcourse, having seen his Order of Magnitude, I know that he should also very much stick to the guitar too ;)

Between this guy, Hedges, Erik Mongrain, Andy Mckee, Antoine Dufour, Bob Kilgore and others, I'm just going to sell my guitars, post all my tab and forget about it. :)
