no he was one of the most balanced characters by the end of t7 he was considered top 20 in tekken 8 they nerfed everything in exchange of the new stance his i13 rage art his b1 his df2 his db3 2 sonic fang wall splat b1 2 wall splat his wall combo his launching sonic fang running 2 his sway into counter hit confirm launch imo it's unfair to nerf a character that much just in exchange of 1 new stance he really needs at least df2 launch with scaling (like b1 does 12 damage on CH) because there are a lot characters in t8 who are not CH based characters but have better counter hits than steve

depends on the launcher if you get caught with back ducking 2 75 percent easily. also steve can easily get back turn launchers for 100 plus each time with Ss ducking.

Lionheart and steves new weave moves would be awesome if every single character in Tekken 8 didn't have half screen semi homing heat engagers. Also Steve needs his homing mid back, the moment you stop mashing and just sidestep duck you option select literally Steve's entire move list.

While Steve combos and some of his moves input are easier in 8, like gatling is now just duck and mashing 1+2. Most of his key moves are nerfed so hard when compared to the older game making him ironically harder to play. Also. R.I.P. shiro combo
