I believe this is a Brabo machine (Belgian, made in ANtwerp, named after the famous Brabo legend). This machine is from the 70's, on later models plastic was more used instead of metal for some parts. The "screw"on top was originally a lock screw, so you could only unscrew it with a key. These machined used to be in supermarkets. I have the quad version of it, on a stand. Nice restauration !

That's a fantastic job of restoration you did on the machine, especially with the red paint! It brings back memories for me! Practically every week for 20 years I was doing something like this - usually just cleaning them. I had a Vending Machine route of similar machines, Norwest Model 60, with either the same plastic globe or a glass globe. My machines had a removable product chute on them, and on top was a keylock rather than the more basic screw lock top you designed, that's what the ridges inside the top cover lock depression are for.
