Bryan! I went to MTF back in 2007 and Bryan was there teaching (and riding SX still I believe). Great times!

what workouts are the best for someone who can only ride 1 or 2 times a week? do you think riding a mtb helps motocross

Hey, yes riding a mountain bike definitely helps. Fun, two wheels, great cardio. As far as what workouts, you should be doing some type of full body strength at least once per week and then you need maybe 2 sessions of low intensity cardio, and 1 session of some type of intervals. I made a video on some of these topics on my main channel! Hope this helps! Jacob
