wow. I've been searching and watching many suspension videos online and finally this is the one with decent, correct, well presented information in a compact video. Congratulations to this dutch guy, despite the little accent this is a wonderful explanation video.

can some one help me with this i just bought a used bike and the low speed clicker and the high speed nut dont spin independently. For example if you try and turn the low speed the high speed turns with it at the same time. The bike a a 07 yz125 i was wondering if there would be anyway to fix this or do i have to buy a whole new rear shock for 900+
@hondaman33178 жыл бұрын
try holding the high speed with a wrench and turning low speed out. it is probably turned in so far it's stuck.
@andrewstambaugh8030 Жыл бұрын
It could also have a worn out seals on the high speed, allowing less friction. Just a thought.

Please help i cant get my rear end to not want to drift out when im riding on sand and mud and the bike does not feel right on hard pack as well any tips?
@andrewstambaugh8030 Жыл бұрын
do you have your bike choppered too much (front too high)? If so, the front will be light and the bike will (like a chopper) want to go straight, so to compensate, you will end up weighting the front more and leaning the bike more. But that puts it closer to drifting. (does it also like to climb up out of ruts in the front? that's also a symptom of too much chopper style)
@Kopax712 жыл бұрын
make sure when you take the first measurement there is no weight on the back wheel (on the stand)

sounds like you need the next softer spring.

When you take a corner sit all the way to the front so the rear doesn't have to mutch grip

I know how to adjust sag, my particular suspension is just acting according to physics.

@rdavidharris That's funny because I had a Yz450f and a KTM 125sx and I sold the 450 because it handled like shit and I bought a KTM 350. :)

By the way, KTM has the 2003 AMA 125 National Championship with Grant Langston, 2 SX wins so far with Dungey, And won BOTH MX1 and MX2 last year in the GPs with Cairoli and Roczen. You must not even watch MX. Anyone who actually watches MX would know that.

no u are doing it wrong have bike on stand so nothing touching ground then take bike of stand and measure with u on it and the sag is the differance between the 2 measurments

this guy is the mechanic of stefa everts who won 10 world championships, he knows what he is doing.

I have ridden just about every modern dirtbike, and the KTM stock suspension just ain't that great. Nor is the handling. Power might be great, but, ehhhhh. And who cares about "votes" or "ratings?" It's about how it feels to the individual rider. Ask anyone... I wonder why KTM hasn't won anything in MX or SX to speak of. Great woods bike, obviously. Not so great MX SX bike - especially for the high price you have to pay to buy one and buy parts for at such a high price. RATE THAT!

@rdavidharris you are clueless lol

Did you come to a KTM video just to spout negative KTM opinions? You know they say one of the number one characteristics of A.D.D. is "seeking out conflict".

its also funny, this guy is the pitguy for stefan everts who won 10 worldchaps? he knows what he talks about lol

I bet Stefan wishes he were back on Yamaha. KTM Suspension is awful in comparison. Ask anyone who has ridden both brands. LOL

if you know how to adjust sag then why are you on this video?
