This "looks" like a $30 game, if it had no micro transactions. I could maybe justify $40, if it had a lot of built in content, but certainly not $40, PLUS DLC... ridiculous.

Yeah common problem with bike games on Switch, what happens when they fail to connect the shadow!

Not to justify them charging $200 but I can deffinately see where they are getting their influence from, we should all be targeting EA when they do this shit, but we only ever complain about the games that follow their lead

Great video, I watched this after I saw this game in a pawn shop. Can pick it up for $15 and probably still will. I’m sure it’s garbage but I grew up on ATV off-road fury and MX vs. ATV. Nostalgia getting some more money out of me 😂

Bought the game brand new from GameStop for 13 bucks today, totally happy with the experience the price makes up for the hiccups. I plan on buying the dlc once I beat everything else. I’ll take what I can get I’ve been waiting for a handheld mx vs atv since the untamed version for psp. I bought a vita hoping to play an mx vs atv but one was never released.

Totally agree this should be a definitive edition. I don't understand how devs, or whoever, think this kinda marketing will work. Especially with a very average game, it looks so boring.

I'm kindof thinking about this for the split screen but I think I'll wait to see what my vs atv game they port/make next. For now i'll just get my Xbox 360 or ps2 and play reflex or mx unleashed. (Since the PC port of reflex is terrible for AMD devices)

I just got it for $25 .00 cad on the eshop. I noticed the character and bikes in open maps were really jittery in third person but Much better in 1st. emerald Key is the best experience, being able to do tricks and flips in third person with having minimal frame dips. when it came to events which I only played about 5 total so far, were in the middle, the experience varied from track to track worst being supercross and waypoint races. I loved mx vs atv reflex. I think for $25 'all out" its worth it If you really want to play MxvsATV and the switch is the only console you own. If you do own any other console do yourself a solid and buy it on there or wait for it to go on sale because even though some modes run like turd 💩 I'm glad I got it for $25 and I am confidant that the price will drop since its been on sale in its first month of release.

So glad i decided not to preorder the physical edition on Amazon and wait for some KZbin footage, i bought this on Xbox when it was New and the Arena Cross Paywall track's made me go Wow. Oh well maybe when it's on sale (Very Cheap) I'll grab it for splitscreen.

Thanks for this reveiw While this game is on sale now, i think this belongs in the avoid list of games that are on sale. There is no way that you pay a considerable sum on a game that came with a demo-ish amount of content and then they force you to spend more to get more content for this game. What a shame, was really interested in trying it out but nah, i'm not having myself getting held ransom by these bloodsuckers

I've been having a lot of fun with this game. I don't buy DLC as a point, but this game has been the only time I've opened my wallet because I love motocross and I wanted something fun to play on my Switch. I'm pretty frustrated though that the 2020 Nationals tracks are DLC only (licensing most likely), but they're NOT ON THE ESHOP YET. Like you've gotta be kidding me, sports or racing games are just awful on this console. Like why are you making it so hard for me to give you even MORE goddamn money. I am fully aware that on a very underpowered console like the Switch, some sacrifices need to be made. But why are the menus so buggy on this version? I can deal with lower framerates and choppiness, it's still a fun game and first person mode is super addicting and satisfying for me to play. But why can't we go from the end of a race/series to a NEW race/series without waiting 45+ seconds of loading to go BACK to the "free roam" mode, to then have to go BACK into a new race/series and wait another 45+ seconds of loading? Come on, this game is in desperate need of an infusion of quality of life updates, and I'm not totally convinced THQ Nordic is going to take our dollars and throw it at developer hours. Sad state of moto racing games, it feels like they're too niche and don't generate sales, so they just DLC the shit out of them and never touch them again, hoping they print enough money over a few years to justify the investment of developing the game in the first place.

I purchased this on Xbox one yesterday and this is absolutely the WORST Mx game to date. So fuckin broken, bike has a mind of its own, fps drops to 15 if youre passing more than 2 people, if you move the sticks in the air the bike is able to spin 15 times before you land, preload is fucked, throttle is fucked, sounds are fucked, clutch? Fucked. You either overshoot something by a mile or come up short by a mile. Do not buy!!!!!!
