Just what I needed to know - the last couple of days rain turned my MX5 boot into a hot/cold tub. Was blaming my wet car cover as it was folded up in there afterwards... but I bet I've got leaky light seals going on too as it was saturated in there - top tips - will buy some new ones - many thanks, Project 380 - much appreciated and best wishes.

Top tip, a smear of vaseline all over the seal helps to repell water and keep seal like new for years 👍

I replaced my seals and found out that the left stoplight didn't even have a seal :))) great video, did not get any damping whatsoever since.

I'm so glad we don't have rust like you guys do here in aus. Also sanding the markings off the front of the lights give them a nice clean look for nothing

Top job sir. You know why I'm here. This video gives me hope. Just wish the bloody Irish weather would improve now.

Nice simple video. I had some drips on the rear bulk head and thought it might be the gasket/seal for the lights but found it was the weather strip holding in the soft top. Fancy doing a video on how to change the seal on where the top attaches to the car?

Does this issue still exist with newer miatas? I have a mk 3 that seems to have the same issue, but u dont want to take it apart if its a different issue

I think mk3 usually leak round the third brake light
