There is so much detail in this game that once you find it you'll appreciate it more. Sucks that people always shit on milestone but if a developer goes from a game like MUD and eventually makes a game like this I'd have full faith that they can carry this genre of games which I do. Glad someone finally touched on the bike setups, there is so much there alone that you could spend days tinkering, can't wait to play this game.

Salty about the whips, but I'm even more salty about the non-existent ruts, how easy it is to wreck, and the cornering/falling. I like that they've improved the handling and it does seem to be more realistic in that aspect, so hopefully they release some patches soon to address these things.

The clutch is useful for when cornering, clutch in when approaching the corner, let off and increase the throttle when you're clear of sliding off of the bike

looks good. like the not flat land 100 feet feature. Its a game so, it will never be real. But I like the career, acting out the MXGP career. Acting out being a pro, and some good gameplay. Thsts what its all about

Its all in the counter weight it allows us to use the right stick to help steer with the back tire if you hit up on the right joy stick comeing out of the conners it allows you to accelerate fast out of the conners

Yea man, I totally agree with you on the whips/scrubs. They are the worse we have got from Milestone. I would have rather had the animations from Supercross The Game, which were the best Milestone have done. Or maybe have taken the whip from that game and just improved on it. It's very upsetting, but other than that the game looks great. More than likely I'll still play MSX more than this. And those who gave the video a thumbs down, you know that is for the overall video and not the game. If you think the game sucks then you should still thumbs up the video for allowing you to see the game and make a decision before buying.

I have eyes. It's not too damn hard to see how bad the whips look. I've seen more than just this video. I've seen about 5 hours of gameplay and it doesn't take a rocket scientist to tell the whips/scrubs look like shit. I love Milestone games and would rather play MSX anyday over something like MX vs ATV. As a fan of the series, I want the game to be great in every aspect. I am not going to blindly support a game because it's my favorite SX/MX game. I do want these games to imrpove and the scrubs/whips can be better. If you do not give constructive critism you're never going to get a better game. And this is just my opinion, you can have yours aswell. Take a look at the comments for this video or any other video for this game, I am not the only one who feels the whips came out like shit.

Marc Anthony: Angel of Mercy racing is a lot more enjoyable when it's actually realistic and you're able to put signature style into it. that's why mxgp3 got so boring for all of us, you feel like a fucking robot on the track where the same exact thing happens every lap. that's not racing. i'm watch southwick as i type this by the way. you should see the body language from forkner and A Mart, they're fully sending through the sand hanging it out.

Honestly I'd like to see this with scrubs from supercross. I have no idea why people dont think that is free. If you know what you're doing it's the free-est most realistic scrub hands down in any moto game I've ever played (on consol). My opinion but I can get real janky with that on supercross. And there's nothing better then a barcia style scrub in someone's face as you take the lead. Now the ruts, i would love to see realistic ruts. Everything looks like a step in the right direction except for the scrubs but hey, they killed it with supercross (minus the funky tough blox) so I'm trusting that once we have all had enough time on the game that it'll be tits.

I have some problems with my suspension. Tell me if im wrong but on sand tracks with more ruts and putholes you will putt less rebound on but on almost every track they have a whoop section so when i go over the whoops my suspension is to slow with the rebound so the suspension wont go back out fully before i hit the next whoop and i will loose alot off time but on the other hand on the rest off the track the suspension is on point. I just dont know how to fix it for smoother driving

I think the ruts works, but in the "main line" that the AI runs, the ground gets just flat without ruts or bumps. But If you make your own line somewhere i feel that the bike can hook up and follow the rut if you time it good, and so if your miss it and go fast you can totaly yardsale and go down Hard, There are som bugs i believe in the bumps and stuff. Right of a sudden you can bump in to a tiny bump and just crash or slow down alot, even be stop'ed. Yea the whips are more worse than supercross the game. Scrub??? It just leans your bike to the side a bit more than the free movement your already have! But i like it. Can be some more fixes to it. But awesome racing!

Yep. If you time attack ride you can carve some ruts out. When you race with the AI, they just kinda smash the track down and form this wide dark line around the track.

I really want to buy this game but my experience with monster energy supercross was bad as it lags on my ps4 I just want to know if it runs smoother than the previous game without any lag..

I had Monster Energy Supercross on the original PS4 as well and had the same problems. Here I have it on the Xbox One S and it runs pretty good. Still has some stutter and lag in the first corner with the AI, but over runs better than Supercross did.

Make the whips different and how come there is no braking bumps.... everyone talks about ruts but braking bumps are huge in real life in track deformation. Also tear offs. Biggest complaint is cornering whips shit make them unique with analog sticks like inverts twitch whips and scrubbing

I don't think they ever intended for "free whips" to copy MvA freedom. Yeah they have a canned animation for these whips, BUT they leave everything up to the player. You have to bring it out and back all on your own, you CAN do 360s if you feel like it. It doesn't limit you. They look really bad, they do. But I don't think milestone will ever have free whips like the MvA games do. They even said in an interview what the other guys are doing is not motocross, it's not what they're going for. We all need to keep criticizing them with each game they make so eventually they'll hit every box. We just can't shit on them when they do something wrong when they do so much right

I couldn't care less about the whips, but the air control worries me. It's "free," yes, but so much so that the bike seems almost weightless, rapidly shifting around in different directions, many of which are borderline physically impossible. We should have free control over the rider in-air, but the rider has limited control over the bike; most of what happens in the air is determined by what happens on take-off, and flows naturally through it's projectile arc and gyro effect. Gravity still looks off. Like there's too little, for one. Bikes still seem too floaty. Why do all of these MX devs think that big air and floating helplessly make for interesting gameplay? Everything interesting about MX games happens on the ground, so get us back there sooner! The jump arc actually looks canned, too, as if riders ascend and decend at set, constant speeds rather than ascending based on the forces involved in their take-off, and then slowing their ascent and eventually accelerating into their decent due to the gravitational constant (9.8 m/s/s). These are not difficult things for professional programmers to program. Really like how the ground physics are shaping up though, and that's the most important part. It looks like we actually have to ride the bike, rather than just mostly pinning it around the track all the time. And the more in-depth bike settings in conjunction with the more detailed ground physics should open up some more depth. Looking forward to picking it up on the 10th. We'll see how it looks on the One X.

Milestone should either try to make a sim or just stop trying to make it look "realistic". Also of course, imo the gp tracks are lame and really basic. No ruts, no breaking bumps, same dirt on almost every track. Mx simulator got it right first try and it was made by one guy. What is milestone spending their money on?
