The one dislike is from the guy who mis-diagnosed it and let it go for scrap... haha love misdiagnoses, can get a heck of a deal on them. The usual ones we seem to get are "failed head gasket", have had them be anything from a stuck heater valve making it blow hot constantly (£60 fiesta 5) through to new radiator fitted and they missed the fan switch (£200 Pug 306 cabrio)... Even had a couple where the head gasket WAS actually bad, but when the money's right you still come out ahead. Would like to see this one tidied up like you say, new windscreen/armrest/original radio/front wing & maybe even a deep clean on the seats. Could make it a $2k car with a few hundred, but do we chase the big bucks or the quick flip?

My late uncle had a 94 and got a lot of miles out of his, I’m not at all surprised this is still ticking. :) My uncle’s car was the same color. It was a very very very dark blue. His was a DX though, this one was a lot fancier. I would definitely find this one a home. When my friends are looking for a used car my first words are “get a Honda”.

I thought the speedometer would come back to life after the axle shaft replacement. I guess that must be in the dash somewhere, broken. Maybe you can advertise it as "the car that looks like it's doing 20, even when it's sitting still" 😄

Looks a lot better. Also looks like the speed sensor is trying to work, so the speedometer might start working again with more driving. Re: the radio faceplate, pop the deck out of its sleeve, then get the model number off the sticker on either the bottom or the top of the chassis. There's a seller on eBay, think their name is secondtimeaudio or something like that. They usually have faceplates for all car decks available. Reasonably priced, too. With respect to D3, we used to engage that in our '86 Civic 4-door when we were driving below 45 mph. Got rid of the "slip-lock" action of the lockup torque converter at lower speeds. Unavoidable at highway speeds, of course, but, at lower speeds, popping the transaxle into D3 would get rid of it. BTW: do you have a hipstagram account? Left FB about a month ago.

That radio is an aftermarket one, unless Honda was using removable-face units back in the 90s. Might as well leave that alone. The next owner would just yank it out anyway and put in whatever they want.

My friend in high school had an accord and I would always be goofin and put it in d3 and see how long he took to notice it, one time he made it almost all the way home without noticing hahaha

D3 just locks you out from going into overdrive. Still rows you through 1, 2, and 3. Not a big deal.

I did a newer LS 500 Lexus the other day and charged him $2200 for all parts...Lexus...installed.. Of course It had a baby changing station and a microwave oven built into the glass. Ha ha ha

@OkFixer He’s gonna hafta put a new windshield on this car in order to make it completely legal. It will not pass inspection with a cracked windshield. It’s a $100 that’s gonna have to be spent.

@@williamscoufaras7045 we don’t have inspections in Oklahoma. You have to inspect your own car. But I can tell you this if you get stopped by the police for any in fraction. And they see your check engine light on, bald tires, or a broken windshield. They will cite you for it. I am a professional glass installer, and have my own business. I was just commenting about how cheap that Glass was to install there. G! They must not make any money there.

Turned out really nice. Sounds like it may have a slight exhaust leak or maybe in need of a new muffler seems kind of loud. And possibly a small belt squeak

The speedo error is common on the 94-97. Have to swap out the speedo head. I just use a HUD app on my phone for my speed lol.

Could be the fairly cheap speed sensor on the trans screwing up with the speedo Even though the trans shifts fine, without that input the shift timing and feel could be off

Honestly man I think you could increase the sale price by putting in the stock radio (honda part number 39100-SV4-A00). In my experience selling older Hondas, whenever the stock radio is in people will comment "oh good, the car hasn't been messed with" and will pay more for it. Worth a shot since the head unit isn't there anyway

I didnt have any trans codes what so ever. Oxygen sensor and Evap. Fixed some vacuum lines and the connector for the oxygen sensor and they went off. Might just be a bad cluster
