Very nice video. After seeing dozens of videos on the interface, it is great to find a video actually showing how to use the device as an audio interface. Thanks!

Terrific video Jason. I've watched a lot of your pod go vids now. Your teachings are fantastic. Output filters and LA compression made a huge improvement to my tone. I now follow your basic setup templates religiously. Keep up good work. Tx

Pod Go with a laptop + DAW is pretty amazing combination. Especially as a practice tool. You can play along with your backtrack/song through the DAW and loop sections, slow down solos, record ideas, etc... Hard to beat.
@Augustus2222 жыл бұрын
Can you play along through a plugin (e.g. neural DSP) with acceptable latency?
@deconline13202 жыл бұрын
@@Augustus222 Yes. I used it with TH3 in Reaper. You can expect around 5-10ms in/out with a decent computer and decent buffering. In any case, you can use the pod go in direct monitoring and record both wet and dry signals. You can then play around with your plugins on your recorded dry signal.

GarageBand and reamping - those who tried to reamp with GarageBand this way - you cannot. GB does not have the flexibility to switch/re-assign outputs, so hardware reamping is no-go. Software reamping through plugins is more than OK, though. So in a nutshell if you want Helix/POD/other modeller to be used for reamping you need a different DAW. Since GB is unique for Mac you cannot choose free Cakewalk for example (Windows only), but you can choose Reaper (GREAT value for your $$$), PreSonus Studio One, Logic, Abletone, Cubase, ProTools (they have a free version!). I hope someone finds this comment helpful before they go mad trying to figure out how to apply the tutorial in GB :)

Hey there, thank you so much for the video! I'm using the pod go as an interface but I'm not using the effects it comes with. But then if I have the pod go be clean, I keep hearing the DI, no FX track from the Pod Go. How do I hear only the monitored track that passes through my amp plugins?

Hi Jason, is it possible to disable the Direct Monitoring? Let's say for example you are testing IRs with a plugin like NadIR directly in your DAW, and you just want to send your amp signal with no cab after and use the Monitoring from the DAW itself. Is this possible? I couldn't find a direct setting for this and I remember back then with PODxt it was possible. Thanks in advance for checking!

Help..... I trying to use DAW and none seem tow work with my POD GO... I see green bars on the music going up and down but no wave file looks to record. I can record from my built in computer recorder and play back but none of the DAWs seem to. I am trying to use cakewalk right now. I go to preferences and choose the POD GO and when I play my guitar like I said I see green bars bouncing back and forth but then I dont see anything on the actual recording part where you would normally see that little wave file thing. I keep looking for different DAWS to download. It really confuses me because windows can record the sound and play back but cannot get any other to. I really want to use this feature!!!!

I use Pro Tools and only want to use the pod go for recording, not having to plug my studio monitors to it. My sound goes out through the Apollo. I can't find out how I can do that. Besides Pro Tools don't come up with the pod go as an option for track input.

is it possible to reamp sending the di signal to a real amp?
@WarrenPostma2 жыл бұрын
I wish that it was easier to get a good LEVEL when recording with your PodGo. It seems no matter what I do the levels that sound great at line out to a powered speaker or effect return into an amp are too low to make good recording. The VOLUME knob on the pod Go affects the OUTPUT LEVEL to headphones, and main amp out, but not the actual output level to your DAW. I have to add about 20 dB of boost into my presets to make them record properly. This is particularly frustrating because it means I have to record and then use some DAW feature to boost the clip signal. Doing this in an effect insert is doing it at the wrong place. I think Line6 should have a "Audio Interface Output Signal Adjustment" somewhere.

Hi, JASON! Sorry, i am a very new owner of the Pod Go, but i do not know what i must do EXACTLY to use this unit per USB with my Mac and ableton live! I want to record easy 1 track with the podGo-sound and another with the pure guitarsound. Should i change to the pod-interface in ableton? Nobody talks about it and nothing in manual for beginners, unfortunately! Can you help? Thanks and best, Mathilde from germany

Very useful information. My laptop is old, so CPU usage and latency are important considerations. I like the solution of Direct Monitoring when recording so I don't have deal with latency with what I'm hearing. Do you have any other tips regarding Direct Monitoring when using a Laptop, and an external Mixer - best practices/most versatile ways to hook things up. A latency of even 6ms negatively affects my playing. That can be a problem when trying to use virtual instruments on a computer when played from a MIDI Keyboard, particular if the sounds I want are only on the computer. Thanks

Great video. One question - if I am running both input and output through the PodGo (so guitar in/headphones or studio monitor out) with the USB providing the interface, does the expression pedal work on the front or back end of the total signal chain? Especially if I am running it as an interface for my preferred DAW, Amplitube 5 (so not using the onboard amp/cab or pedals on the PodGo, just using it as an interface only).
@baardk22 жыл бұрын
As always a great video. I have a problem though. Before I bought the Pod Go, I was using my old Vox Tonelab LE. The tonelab also had a tone edit program but it was connected to my computer via an Midi Mate interface and worked ok. I could use my setup that is: Directly recorded from the two outputs from the guitar prosessor and into my recordingstudio (Zoom R16). Out from my R16 and into line in on my computer so I could listen to the sound while messing around with the tone edit software. Now when I do the same with the Pod Go but with the USB, there is a conflict somewhere and the signals is going crasy. Just full noise. The only way to get rid of it is to disconect the output cable from my R16 to the computer line in and instead use hedphones from the R16. Is there a way to fix this with some settings? I have tryed to read the manual but find it only more confusing. (I dont want to use any software for recording my guitar. Only the R16 like I always have done)

Great video! Quick question, I’ve been getting great tones from running my Pod Go through my 5150 Iconic and then out from the built in DI on the back of the amp into my Focusrite interface, but I want to be able to simultaneously track a dry signal straight from the POD as well for reamping purposes, do you know if this is possible without a separate DI box?
@RafaelGimene2 жыл бұрын
You can, but only if use your pod go as the audio interface. Choose input 3-4 on your DAW and you will be able to record the dry signal. but to use this feature with your 5150, you have to put it on the FX Loop of your POD GO, then you will record your processed signal on inputs 1-2 and dry on 3-4.

This is insane, I have been searching how to do this! I just bought the Iconic and want to know how to run it via the POd Go (acting as interace) Is this even possible? I'd be running the XLR out (Cab muted).
