Wow, when you started Hotel California, with the strumming, chucking and singing, my jaw hit the floor !!! Amazing progress in a single year ! 👍🏼 I'm a 57 y.o. lady and I started playing ukulele 2 years ago and I'm still struggling with the island strum, lol. I enjoyed watching your progresses. Thanks for sharing ! 🙂

Hi Bernadine, Thank you for your kind comments 😊 I'm still enjoying the ukulele although my singing upsets the local wildlife 🤣🤣. I have been working on clawhammer ukulele over the past year and will hopefully upload some videos soon. As long as you are enjoying the ukulele, that's all that matters. Practice daily if you can and it will come together and start feeling natural. Take care Roy ☺️

@@roymundy3688 Thanks for your kind answer ! I suck with the chuck mainly because I have put the emphasis on arpeggios instead. I enjoy ancient music very much and the ukulele is great for lute and baroque/renaissance guitar pieces. But I also use my uke to shut up my noisy neighbors : they think I have a music course and they stop barking, loooool. 😂

Came across your youtube from Graham Hall's link - very interesting to see how good your year's progress was. Will check out your clawhammer tutorial soon. Thanks for putting this together.

How many hours did you practice in a day ?
@roymundy36882 жыл бұрын
Hi Lysia, I didn't practice for hours every day, I just picked it up whenever I fancied, probably an hour a day, I really enjoy learning the ukulele and I'm still learning today.
