Hey man, I'm 45 years old and I've been lifting for 25 years. You are actually really inspiring even for an old fart like me. I've never touched gear in my life and all I can say is keep it going. You just have to get used to the fact that you are going to have many many years of training where you make zero progress and you just have to get your head around it. You probably already have reached most of your potential at your age. However, as you get into your late 30s and 40s you will really start enjoying lifting more even though you're not making any more gains. The reason is , everybody else is turning into a piece of shit and you will still look good. So on a relative basis, you will look better than ever. By the time you're my age, all the guys that you know that are on gear will have long since quit lifting due to side effects, finances etc... At 45 years old I am stronger than I've ever been and I actually don't look too bad. Everybody else my age is looking really rough. I have to give you credit, it takes a hell of a person to stay away from all of that crap please days. Somebody must've raised you right.

i always thought that i could get as big as the bodybuilders but sadly when i found out the truth that almost every bodybuilder that has big muscle and ripped has used some kind of gears. i still Wonder how big someone can get without gears i have started working out 4 years ago i gained 10 kg of muscle mass within 4 or 5 months and lost it half of it when i stoped training and keep getting up and Down til now still don't know how long i can get i weight 70 kg and wieghted 60 when i started so i Wonder if i can get to 80 kg muscle mass while ripped

bravo and well said, I'll be 47 this year and have been lifting for over 30 yrs drug free. have plenty of friends who use gear and that's fine, just never wanted to deal with needles, pct etc. is it harder? you know it is, however to be honest i'm more driven now than i was at 27. used to weigh around 200, now 185 w/10% bf, train at a regular gym 4 days wk and a power lifting gym 1 day wk working on strength and technique. told somebody the other day i was 47, they thought i was 36, nice to hear. plan to bang iron till i can't, it's a lifelong journey and i think i love it more now than when i first started.

But you learnt that lesson. if you hadn't been cut up then you might have thought you placed badly because you weren't cut enough. Now you know being cut at the expense of atrophy doesn't "cut it". Of course this is why the Pros are pros... in that they cut while maintaining maximum size and great proportions. Or do the drugs have a tiny bit to do with it too ? I couldn't possibly comment.

Not possible, it's a constant journey and it never ends. If bodybuilders could look their absolute best year round, for years on end, they would do it. If you watched this video and think that somehow ignoring bulking and cutting is a "loop hole" then forget it. The only loop hole might be injecting yourself with shit.
@justasidecharacter4356 жыл бұрын
I mean not to be a bummer but in my case this didn't occur, few years in track at 5"7.5 went from 67kg to 74kg around 9-10%bf at age 20 at the time however i could say it was newbie gains as a big factor, but i developed technique and got my lifts to a decent standard and a very good dead lift for a years progress. However due to some shoulder and lower leg joint injuries from previous years of track and during the season as i wasn't lifting during the track season, only shoulder is gym related i hadn't been training for 4 months or eating enough calories and protein and lost 4-5kg of lean muscle. So i believe it's all about consistency and eating enough calories/protein for the first few kg of lean muscle, however after newbie gains as i lack experience in this field increasing bf can help with gains and as long as you cut down to 10-12% slowly you will keep most of your gains, as most people think fat is muscle as it gives size? However not to discredit your claim as more bf can help with lifting heavier for overall and not power to weight which the general population care about. That's just my opinion on gains and tbh it's up to whatever bf people feel most comfortable in and helps for their specific goals that matters most for the type of gains you want :)
@therealg41976 жыл бұрын
@@TheKittenish lool everyone is different i for example still build muscle while in a deficit and im not a newbie. Due to this i remain at a low bf% year round
@sarveshsharma89886 жыл бұрын
One thing I have learned over the years is that you don't necessarily need bulking and cutting in order to grow as a natural athlete. Yes, it definitely speeds up the entire process but most people once they go into bulking never return from that state. Plus the amount of toll it takes on your body by overfeeding and then starving is unhealthy. The best approach for me is to stay lean with just a little caloric deficit or surplus and keep training hard. You will grow slowly, it will take time but you look good year-round and always keep the gains. Loved the video though

The 170s/80s when you were 22 looks the best. The show pic looks the worse. This is what I don't understand about body building. Whilst the show pic shows off all the striations and muscle definition you just look unwell, plus that fake tan makes white guys just look ridiculous. Thank you Nick. Very inspirational, as it relates to your history in bodybuilding. You look very good in different stages. You easily can become a professional bodybuilder, and compete with the big guys in recent times.

Umm, why do bodybuilders, when they compete, slather themselves with this dark brown tanning oil? It looks really repulsive.

Tiqerboy Helps them look more lean. Do you know how black clothes make you look skinnier? Same thing. Just an optical illusion.

Because when we are on stage, we are on the spotlight and the lights are very bright, so you look alright on stage, but weird off stage. I've competed at 145lb and 140lb (note, my height is 5' 08"). One of the competition was drug tested and we found out two weeks later that a contestant, female, tested positive xD Then I didn't feel so bad about being smaller than her :-)

Finally, a real natty. Props for stayin the course bro. I'm an old guy at 34, but started out as a skinny 135 lb kid and now am 196 at around 12%. Love your feed, it's one of two that I actually watch on youtube. Keep it up thanks for all the killer info!

How can you manipulate your weight so damn much?
@danebakker11446 жыл бұрын
Find out how much callories you need to maintain your weight and add/cut 500-1000kcal based on your Metabolism and goals. Take your Weight in LBS , thats what you need to eat atleast in grams of protein. If you're cutting, eat around 50-60 grams of fat & bulking around 80-100 grams. Fill the rest of your needed Kcals out with Carbs. You can use apps to track down your needed Macronutrients & Micronutrients, I like the application ''Fitatu''. 1 gram equals Protein= 4kcal Fat= 9kcal Carbs=4kcal Goodluck.

Really inspirational. I've been working out for about a year now and I'm happy to say that I'm the strongest person on both my track and cross country team. People never really think of me as strong especially because I'm really humble and separated when I work out but when they see me do my tests in weight training their like damn kid, your pretty strong for a runner. I've never Even used supplements and I've promised myself to never take any form of performance enhancing drug or supplement. Your video really helped me to keep my motivation especially since I used to be skinny like you.

You look best between 165 to 175 lbs - (love the tapering of your back and waist). Reminds me of a classic Zane look. Beautiful arms always.

In my opinion, you looked incredible at nineteen and twenty one particularly. You are jacked there, strong from what I heard of your lifts AND as I have mentioned... aesthetic. Looking just very healthy and thick basically!!! And quite fucking lean to boot. Class video, it takes balls to show such personal progression. Respect man💪💪💪

Great video. When I trained I did 8 years natural, and 2 unnatural. Never did a show, but I always wanted to do one when I was natural. I got up to a semi lean 185 lbs at 5'4, during that time. Watching your video on your contest prep gave me peace of mind that I wasn't missing anything. I probably would have been disappointed with my physique also.

I was never using steroids too. It is impossible to be a professional bodybuilder without the steroids... I was doing it on and off since I was 16 yo - now I’m 40. But you can achieve amazing progress - THAT WILL LAST!!! It won’t drop like wit the gear heads from day to day

Nice video. My life was bodybuilding for 9-10 years age range 16/17-26. I did a course of steroids for a year WOW got really strong and much leaner. I had the realization that I would have to do truckloads of roids plus HGH and other stuff e.g. insulin, diuretics. I thought hmmm not worth it. So I canned the bodybuilding greatness dream. The benefits of working out and good diet have stayed with me, what suffered was missing 10 years towards a getting a career going. At 48 today nothing interested me as much as bodybuilding it was everything to me, just loved it. Really appreciate this and your other videos.
