Hey, thanks! Very informative. Have you tried or heard of Field Rocket? Trying to decide right now between Housecall Pro, Jobber, and Field Rocket. Field Rocket has a free version, but Housecall Pro and Jobber don't. Seems simple, but also don't have as many reviews out as these other ones.

I haven't heard of Field Rocket! But there are a bunch of new CRMs and field service management apps coming out now. I think you're safe picking the one that feels like a fit based on budget and features. At the time I shot this video, Housecall Pro was my recommendation for most people. It still is. But there are a lot more options now.

Thank you for watching! There is no way to automatically charge the credit card fee to customers in Housecall Pro. It needs to be done manually :( At my carpet cleaning biz, we raised our prices instead of charging the fee back to the customer.

I do alot of work for plumbing companies, and each plumber has around ten jobs I need to invoice to the company. can I lock in that plumber and plumber companies address and also add in the customers address??

There are a couple of ways you could handle this. Probably the easiest way is to make the plumbing company your customer in HCP, then add the customer’s address in the job notes. I think you can also save multiple addresses to a single customer profile. So you could have 1 customer profile for a plumbing company, and keep adding additional addresses for each customer they give you. The HCP facebook group is an excellent place for questions like this, too. You’ll get a ton of helpful responses from other HCP users very quickly. Good luck with your biz!

Is it possible to pay someone to create our website via Housecall pro? How would that work?

I'd recommend building your website on something like Wordpress. Then connecting the website to your Housecall Pro online booking portal. Yes, they can see the job total. I'm actually not sure if you're able to hide prices from your field techs. It may be possible

I don't think so - not at this time. You can add your Housecall Pro online booking link into your Facebook messenger autoresponder though. But I don't think you can integrate HCP and FB msgr or forms at this time.

Unfortunately in the past, I don't think HCP team has allowed the 50% discount retroactively. But you can always try reaching out to HCP support using the chat bubble to see if they can extend an offer on your free trial. Good luck!

Hi, great vid , just wondering what about paying your contractors? Is there’s a feature that tracks how many jobs each contractor has completed so both them and you see how much work they have done and how much they need to be payed, and does it let you pay them through the program ? just wondering

Yes and no… Yes, you can track how many jobs your contractors do and how much the invoice amount is on those jobs. Add them as employees in HCP, and it’s easy to calculate how much to pay your contractors. But no, you can’t pay them in HCP. I use Gusto to pay contractors, and I used it to pay my FTE’s when I ran a carpet cleaning franchise, too: gusto.com/r/reuben4d97
