Built in 1915 when the Russian Empire still existed. The Russia's North is famous for its wooden architecture.

I love old houses. One house that I grew up in, in Los Angeles CA in 1980s & 1990s, was built in 1908 or 1918 (as a little kid I remember my father showing me a document on the property).

Beautiful house tour Sergey. It has alot of classic charm in it's design & just needs a spring cleaning to brighten things up. It's so nice to see your neighbors gave you a choice tomato plant to plant in your garden. I'd suggest you find a dolgo wild apple tree to plant in your garden, as once established it can provide fruit almost year round. Also there is a type of dragon tree oranges that can thrive in any climate.God bless Sergey!

Cabin is interesting term in English. We have some small hunting cabins in forests for all the hunters so they stay there a night - then clean up for other hunters to stay. They put matrasses on the rope so they stay dry in winter for other hunters. I’ll try to film it as well

Fishing: In US we call it IN SEASON and OUT OF SEASON. Each local county has a GAME WARDEN who patrols the shores and the wooded fields. If you are caught POACHING (hunting OUT of season) the fines are very $$$. Hunting deer is a common activity with a very limited season. Rifle hunting has a separate season from BOW HUNTING and FLINTLOCK HUNTING (old technology).Fishing seasons are specific to the species of fish.

When I was a teenager, many years ago, I lived with my family in a rural area, on a lake also. The lake was smaller, and the house newer, but the life style, is similar. I'm curious to see future videos, of how you live there. The fish you have, must be big, for such a big fishing lure you use. Also, I want to see how well the vegetable grow, and what types. And too bad you don't have a windsurfer, ( which is a surf board, with a sail). It would be fun to do on that lake !

This type of house seems much better than the Soviet-style apartments I have seen. Does the house stay warm in winter? That would be my greatest concern. I would apply some paint here and there but maybe that would make it look less traditional.

Thank you Sergey for making this very interesting video 🙂. And indeed the house is very beautiful! Until a few years ago (the owner passed away in 2016) I had the chance regularly to stay in a basically similar designed house built 1913. It has technically the same sort of ovens but covered with ceramic tiles (cooking was done with “modern“ equipment though 😅). I loved to stay there for a few days whenever I was visiting my family’s hometown. So is anyone else from your family staying there sometimes and until when was it in use permanently? It was your great grandparents house and your grandfather spent his summers there you said? Have a good time there and keep doing such nice videos! 😎

I noticed that in the villages it was always just plain white, so every now and then just brush white over and it looks neat again. People in villages are very busy usually. I've seen tiles over the stove mostly in the cities, more expensive houses maybe.

It seems like Russian houses have more of a stain than a paint. Is that true? I notice a lot of cool blue and green colors on various houses. The blue on the side is cool, and especially the weathering. The browns and greens on the front are sharp. When was the last time that place was painted? I'm guessing it's been a while, and that's a compliment to the durability of those finishings. Stuff in USA doesn't last long at all, especially in such a harsh environment. Also- beautiful time of day you filmed. You caught the 'golden hour'. Cheers! Ron.
