I really like learning about you and your culture. It surprises me as a U.S. citizen, how similiar we are. Yes the language is different and it's much more expensive to live in the U.S. but your house and family could fit almost anywhere in the U.S. and you wouldn't even notice the difference. The most fascinating thing to me was how you can go outside and pick herbs and mushrooms in a forest. Absolutely wonderful.

It’s true, as a European I’ve spent a lot of time both in the US and Russia with friends in their homes. As an outsider I always noticed how similar Russians and US citizens are. Especially once you get out on to the countryside. If there wasn’t such a big language barrier, both country’s citizens would realise this.

Here is a story for you, more then a year ago I was sat in my house in England and I saw your video about how to find a Russian Girlfriend, you told about this InterPals app in that video, I downloaded the app thinking it would be interesting and tbh I wasn’t even looking for anything serious, it was just curiosity and your video that lead me to that app. I met a girl on that app from Lithuania, she is Lithuanian with Russian background and fast forward 18 months, yesterday I proposed to her. So I just want to say a BIG THANK YOU to you ❤️ thanks Comrade Anastasia, Spasibo Bol’shoy 🙌

@@AgentNesty What surprised me most about this video were the prices of the two houses you showed. 6 Million Rubles and 1 Million Rubles? If I compare it to the cost of houses in India, 6 Million Rubles (converted to Rupees) would buy me:- >A similar house in a tiny village of Haryana state of India where only 3000 people live. >An empty plot of land half that size in a Tier 3 city of Haryana state of India. >The registration charges of a similar house in a metropolitan city in Haryana state of India. Cost will be more than 60 Million Rubles. >A small 2 bhk apartment in the same metropolitan city. Wonder what the cost of such a house in Moscow would be.....

The house tour you gave us all was excellent. With a few minor exceptions, your lovely little house is very much the same as houses in many parts of the world. Perhaps it's because you live in a small village rather than a larger town, but there seem to be so many references and activities out of doors. It was so nice to see your back yard, the fruit trees and the feeling of nature and open rural space. You showed us your grandma's pickle or olives in oil that she made, which reminded me of my own grandma. I live in Toronto on the 43rd floor of a highrise. I have a garden on my balcony where I grow tomatoes, sweet peppers and lots of herbs.. I take a commuter train to visit my family in a town about an hour away. They have a house in the forest, so I get both worlds. I think you're very lucky to have an extended family that are enjoying each other's company, in the family home.. Thanks again for opening your doors to us. I think it took courage and trust to do such a thing. I respect your efforts.

What I showed you in this video, this wonderful girl, is not the main house for housing, it's like a "summer house in nature", BUT most of these houses are made so that you can live in them quite calmly in winter.The "main apartment" is located in the city and can be just on the 43th floor :). A huge number of people in Russia, in the warm season, leave the city to live in such "village houses", where there is nature, a bathhouse, a vegetable garden with various plantings, a river or lake behind the house and, of course, a forest.

If you live in NYC, take the elevator down to your car, park, take the elevator up to your office, and do the same in reverse to go home, then you probably won't take your shoes off. In Japan you always take your shoes off. But even that is not enough. You even get special slippers used only for the bathroom. In Switzerland every home is different. You ask if you should take your shoes off. Different everywhere. Thanks for your video! Love your humor!

@@AgentNesty Depends on the family and the place. In muddy/rural places people take shoes off, but in cities and suburbs (where most people live) we leave them on. Because sidewalks are just concrete and we drive cars everywhere, so the shoes don't get very dirty, and it's more convenient to just walk in and out without changing shoes every single time.
@RadiantTwilight

It should be normal everywhere, like waltzing over someone's carpet with shoes you just have worn outside is making me really mad... However I often get scolded in Germany for putting off my shoes (and I assure you it is not because of smelly feet😂) because my hosts think that this would be troublesome for me. It's not bothersome to leave your shoes on the entrance hall. However, I am currently travelling East Asia (Korea at the moment) and sometimes the shoes off etiquette is super bothersome, for example if the space where you have to put them off and on is tiny and it's a battle to get them off and on because of the space, or if that space is right between a bathroom and your room in a hotel, then you have to jump that gap somehow and get into specific bathroom slippers and some of the stunts you have to pull here to follow etiquette, that's what I would call troubling.

A viewer from America: Anastasia, you have plenty of natural charm. Your personality makes everything interesting. Your presentation about rural Russia was excellent. Use your imagination, present more content about that which you know best. Good luck, and remember, all the world loves you. ❤

Very nice. I’m American and my wife of 21 yrs is Romanian. She grew up in the communist era in Romania. Lots of similarities in the cultures. I love to visit Romania where we stay with my wife’s sister and live like Romanians for a couple of weeks at a time. Life is not easy in Eastern Europe. The salaries are not what we are used to in the U.S. But the resourcefulness of the people always amazes me. Nothing goes to waste and nothing is taken for granted. My wife’s brother is building a house in a village. About 1500 square feet. All concrete block, solar panels, in floor heating, very sturdy and will be very comfortable. Fruit trees, garden. And he has no loan. Bought the lot for cash 5 years ago, Been working on the house for 3 years doing all the work himself on weekends and evenings. Eastern European work ethic. My hats off to him for putting in the work and sacrifice to make a nice future for himself, and best of all, debt free! (not very American of him 😂). Ceau.

My friend, I'm sorry, of course. But the USSR has been gone for more than 30 years. And there's no way your 21 year old wife could have grown up in the communist era. What communism are we talking about in 2000?

I love the originality in your video , like there is no fancy show ups , just real things which is common in every household in this world. It shows how older we have become , like playing with these toys in childhood to getting embarassment in adulthood 🤣🌟 Love from India ♥ PS - I am 20 , but still I have toys of childhood. 😉🤣

Greetings from Ohio in the U.S.A. I really loved your video, and it really made me wonder what type of work your father does. I have been watching many videos of people visiting families outside of Moscow, and your home is much nicer than the typical Russian families that I have seen. You have a very nice house and your bedroom looks very much like a young girls bedroom in most of our residential areas. It was a lot of fun watching you go through your childhood items. I hope you do more videos in your hometown and the people you know. I have to say I love your dog. He reminds me so much of an American Eskimo dog I had, with the same curled up tail, but with a little less thick hair! Take Care! Bill from Ohio

The family stays so nice together, wonderful. I am from Germany and must say, so it looked like in our houses in the 70s or 80s. I am not so old, but in flats of old people you see the same idea of house furniture they had in their times. Always interesting to see how village makes, over the winter. Very interesting to see you life.

Great, now it looks like I'm going to have to change my plans. How did you know. Seriously though, I really like the dachas in Russia. They seem so chill and a great place to relax, away from all the noise in the city. You are a very funny girl, even when you are not trying. Especially when you said the branches are to beat each other. Made me laugh. In the US a lot of people have horseshoes for good luck. I don't know why. I had horses when I was young, but we didn't see the horseshoes as good luck. When you found one all it meant was you had to replace it on your horse, which is not cheap or easy. Funny, how we look back at our childhood playthings and they are usually so cringy! Loved the video. You were very funny. Thank you and your family for allowing us to be shown around the house. It was lovely and cozy.
