Wow! Sound, visual, everything perfect! The reflection of the Ram in the 'Cuda's paint tells me this guy is a Mopar nut! Me Too!!

I had a 68 Barracuda fastback back in the mid 70s. Dark green with black stripes. Loved how the back seat folded down into a bed, like my 66 Mustang fast back The women loved it!

Shit, i was Conceived in the back of a 65 Mustang Fastback, where the back seat turns into a bed, just like your 66 Fastback. My Dad Loved the Early Mustang Fastbacks.

Very nice! The 2nd generation Barracudas were always my favorite! I had a '67 convertible with a 273 V-8. The Hemi Barracudas are the Holy Grail.

Absolutely beautiful Barracuda brother. Of course the diamond is that Elephant nestled between the fenders. Please give us some spec's on the build. Engine spec, trans, rearend, interior shots, etc. Personally the fast back is absolutely beautiful with the flowing roof lines, short deck and rear glass. About 35 years ago I owned a "67" Barracuda. At the time I belonged to the "Rapid Transit System " car club in Michigan. We had a meet at the Chrysler proving grounds in Chelse Mi. We all got to drive our cars on the testing course including the high banked track. Definitely one of my automotive highlights. Thank you for sharing your baby with us, she is gorgeous.

No way, my 1st car was a 67 fastback. 318 V8, factory four speed, straight body. I picked it up at a sherrifs auction in 1985. I got it for $100 ($280 in todays money). Loved that car. One of the unique features was the ability to make a full sized bed in the back by folding the front seat forward and dropping the area behind the back seat into the trunk. Considering I was single and about 21, this feature came in quite handy. 😉 (eat your heart out you guys w the Olds & Caddy big back seats. I had enough room for a whole freaking bed! And my lightweight little car with a V-8 could smoke those old boats😁 ah memories

My first car was a 68 Barracuda. I put a good stereo system in it, including some eight inch speakers in the back panel that opened to the trunk. I could not play loud music in my parent's home, so I would go and put the back seat down and had about a six-foot area to lie down in. I would go in there and lie down. looking up out of that huge rear window, looking up at the stars with those speakers inches behind my head. It was a 318 that I had to have rebuilt shortly after I bought it. Once, on Spring Break, on the way to Florida, after we stopped for gas I got back on the iterstate and got up to 90 mph with five of us in the car. After a few miles I noticed that i was in second gear. I put it into third and quickly got to 110 and decided that was too fast and slowed down. I got some more money built up and bought a 240 Duster. I don't have to tell you how that thing ran!

Wow, gorgeous. My 1st car was a 67 Barracuda. And though it's body was straight, it's 318 motor ran great, it's unappreciated factory four speed never missed a gear, i t didn't compare to this beauty. BUT I bought it in 1985 at a sherrifs auction for $100 and drove it for at least 2 years. I'll bet you have a bit more into this one. Heck maybe even as much as 500 dollars 😉😅✌️

The Hemi is such a MASSIVE motor. I am a fan of the 318 Polysphere, which is a semi hemi polyspherical combustion chamber engine. It shares is about 80% of its parts with the LA small block. The blocks are very very similar but not the same. The main difference is the poly spherical heads evenly spaced intake ports and exhaust ports as well as a different cam and intake manifold.

One thing about Black paint on a car it has to be done right and yours is!! Man that mirror-like reflection is absolutely stunning!! Oh and that Hemi isn't so bad either!! I love me my Mopars!! Well done sir and thank you for the upload!!

Nice. My first car was a '68 Formula S Barracuda with a 383. It handled terribly and was a bitch to steer with 60% of the weight on the front wheels. The engine bay was only designed for a small block, but they shoe-horned the big block in later to compete with the Mustang. No power steering either, there just wasn't room for it. I did manage to add PS by welding together my own driver-side exhaust manifold to make room for it. Loved that car, but it wasn't very practical except for drag racing. Even then, hard to get traction with only 40% of the weight on the rear wheels.

That’s as sweet as it gets right there ! My favorite year of the Barracuda 1968 . I will own one some day ( hopefully soon ) I’ll be happy with just a 383 Formula S or even a 340 , I wouldn’t care .
@zubitron52 жыл бұрын
The 340 is the better choice. I had one. Less weight on the front end and, just as fast or faster than the 383.
