It’s good to see that you took such care in restoring this classic bad ass ride. I’ve had two of these Barracudas and I loved both of them, a 67 and 68. I restored the 67 with my step dad. It was a great project and I wish I still had it. The 68 was great but couldn’t give the car the time and love it deserved. Thank you for breathing new life into this classic muscle car.

That should've been a 273 and not a 318 if it was the numbers matching engine. There were only 2 V8 options available in 67 which were the 273 and 383. In 68 the 318 replaced the 273, they added the 340, kept the 383 as a formula s package and made a very limited run of 426 hemi cars. In 69 the V8 options were 318, 340, 383 and 440 super commando. Not at all hating on you. I love these cars and actually own a 67 fastback myself. This was a great build and looking forward to seeing the next mopar you get.

@@tyyp360 that's pretty typical to be honest. Not too many 273s floating around out there and 318s are a dime a dozen. You can get one from a junkyard for $200. Love your build though.

You could've built a meaner 340 for cheaper and not had the two issues that plague every 5.7 I love the car though. It's my 2nd favorite car. In an ideal world I'd have a 67 charger parked next to a 67 cuda in my garage.
@TBullCajunbreadmaker3 жыл бұрын
A 5.7 litre engine is actually 347.7 cubic inches. It would be a lot ore accurate if you put 348 cu.in. decal.

@@thost s the pony-car class became established and competition increased, Plymouth began to revise the Barracuda's engine options. 1967 Barracuda fastback In 1967, while the 225 cu in (3.7 L) slant-6 was still the base engine, the V8 options ranged from the two- and four-barrel versions of the 273 cu in (4.5 L) to a seldom-ordered 383 cu in (6.3 L) "B" big-block, rated at 280 bhp (209 kW), the latter available only with the Formula Spackage.

Sadly from 2030 on all combustion cars including classics will be banned from public streets in entire EU and Scandinavia :-( In Germany the Green Peoples Party gave order to shorten fuel supply from 2025 on by reducing all conventional fuel stations to only one state operated central gas station per city or county. Now they want to slow down all the gas station fuel pumps from 20 litre per minute to 2 litre per minute...From 2027 on in the EU certain car spare parts will be banned too....as exhaust systems, turbo chargers and even some engine and gearbox oils...California and New York will do the same from 2027 on.... So no investments should be done in oil burning cars any longer....They even created a new kind of crime here, called emissions and smoke crime :-((

Then we use ethanol RE85 , to replace the gasoline
@Schlipperschlopper3 жыл бұрын
@@tyyp360 Biggest problem is China, China banned any combustion technology...they told our EU politicians that they wont do any business with underdeveloped countries that still allow combustion based traffic or industry after 2030...I am sure USA and UK also will be forced by China to 100% electric traffic because today no industrialized country can afford sanctions by China.... China just rules the world...:-(
