I noticed the other commenters suggestion for the bag door, however I have a second suggestion. I’m not sure if it’s sold in England under this brand name, but a product called JB Weld would work phenomenally to help seal that crack and repair the whole door. It’s a two part epoxy that’s very strong and is well known for its many feats of dodgy work on cars, but on a vacuum it would likely be stronger than the plastic it’s holding together!

It is available, can't remember if it's that brand though 🤔 Fag Ash and toolstation superglue is much cheaper and easier to apply.

I'm so sorry for laughing out loud when things went a bit awry on reassembly. I feel better for getting this off my chest. We've had some good success using a hot wire plastic welder on cracked plastic parts but it would not help with airtightness. I reckon if you want a usable machine it will need a replacement door or the whole of the cracked area backfilled with two part resin with a filler compound. This would probably be pricey though. If it were me I'd probably leave it alone and not use it with a hope of finding a better door or another example in my Christmas stocking. Never seen a screwed down clean out port before - not exactly user friendly. Great video 👍

Good old Three in One oil!!! Used it many times on numerous things through the years!!! There once was a other such oil in the Colonies known as Liquid Wrench...Wondering if it made it's way across the drink...🤔

Super glue and backing powder or crushed cigarette Ash will stick that door back together. See KZbin for research.
