Queen asked John Farnham to be their front man singer in the group after Freddie Mercury died. John declined as he preferred to stay in Australia with his family and friends. Brian May of Queen joined John and his band in the charity concert for the Bushfire Relief benefit. Other hard-rocking songs that he does are, 'Playing To Win,' (co-written by John) and AC/DC's 'It's a long Way To The Top'. He kills it on both. What electric energy the man has!!!

This is the version that Queen sent John to sing! He kills it, no wonder they wanted him to sing with Queen! John decided it was not for him and he would continue to sing for his Aussie fans and be with his family instead! Love this man to bits!

Did you also notice his band and backup singers all still the same. Most of his band members have been with him since the 80's Appart from Vanetta Fields who retired. Some goose on this channel the other day tried to tell me John Farnham wasn’t even that great a singer.. well hello talent right here.. Farnham actually has the same vocal range as Freddy Mercury (3 octaves up to G/A5) and not many in the world can pull this song off like John. Just sayin. PS John has also sung with Brian May in recent years.

I believe I saw that. I like to allow people their opinions but some live in delusion. Farnham isn't a legend because he's NOT a great singer. If his talents aren't obvious after hearing something like this, they're just haters!

Awe thanks Roskoe. This was a great version ..I'd say he was late 50's maybe 60 in this one. Shame you couldn't open the link I sent you. He was 70 in that one and still rocking out this song in the same key with the same power. Nothing that man can't sing.

I don’t see any of The HU on your playlists or separate. Mongolian guys, a heavy metal/folk band. If not, search for “Wolf Totem” It might be the one with the biggest # of views 75M, now I think, of any band that has only been around since 2016 for a first one (that was my first). They sing in Mongolian language, use CC: if you can get it, for English if you want to know what they are singing. The HU (pronounced 'who') do their version and style of “Sad But True” (by Metallica) a most awesome video! They sing “throat singing” not your usual sounding singing voice. Their video was amazing! I never in my life listened to or enjoyed heavy metal or some hard rock. (Queen was cool, as was Dire Strait, Sultans of Swing) But this band got my attention and I love everything they do. ( I am a pest, hee hee) I need to help you expand your channels music and video choices for a more diverse audience. So I am here to help. LOL I think the HU will hook you. Either that, I am just wrong, could be I am wrong a lot of the time. Have fun with whatever ♥
