MY 2 MONTH LETROZOLE UPDATE - NEW SIDE EFFECT! 🫠|| HER2+ Breast Cancer Recurrence Journey

I've been on the aromatase inhibitor, Letrozole for 2 full months. I'm sharing an update on how things have been going.
** What is Letrozole used for?
This medication is used to treat certain types of breast cancer (such as hormone-receptor-positive breast cancer) in women after menopause. Letrozole is also used to help prevent the cancer from returning. Some breast cancers are made to grow faster by a natural hormone called estrogen. Letrozole decreases the amount of estrogen the body makes and helps to slow or reverse the growth of these breast cancers.
** What is Zolodex used for?
Ovarian suppression drugs, such as leuprolide (Lupron) or goserelin (Zoladex), can stop the ovaries from making estrogen. In most cases, once drug therapy is stopped, the ovaries begin making estrogen again.

Letrozole gave me the hot flashes first, and yes they are very extreme! I got a neck fan from Amazon, and it’s been a life saver. Also my seratonin levels were very low, and an anti depressant made a big difference in being able to mentally accept and tolerate drug side effects. Thank you as always for sharing, and continued prayers being sent.

Love your top! It’s interesting to hear how other AI’s are because I’m on exemestane and wonder about the others. Hot flashes are the worst! I know some of my friends have some med for it?! I can’t remember what it’s called (not magnesium). Hope the drug you’re on helps!
