I love that 93 Deville! I was born in 81. By the time i could drive my best friend got his family car passed down to him and it was 1993 Cadillac Deville just like the one Randy has here but it was blue with silver from the trim down! He drove and i rode in that car for many years! I wish i could buy the white one here. Im going through some hard times but thats life i guess

The srt 4 neon is a fast little cars they are nice on gas mileage. My neon had the same thing. I adjusted the cable on the transmission and it worked. Thank you Randy for the video's

It’s not a cable clutch tho it’s a hydraulic fluid pressure clutch.

Count your blessings. Usually the problem is a busted snap ring on the shift rod which holds the shift fork in place inside the transaxle. Very common problem. you were lucky. If I were you, I wouldn’t go slamming your transaxle into fifth gear. The snap ring will break.

Will always love the Neon SRT 4 and they are just becoming harder to find in good shape these days. Clean ones with no rust and running properly are worth a little money as well. Also love the Cadillac and that Pontiac looks like it will be interesting. Can't wait for more videos Randy.👍

On the Neon manual transmission, The fluid has to be pumped in from the left wheelwell. A pain but that's the way it's made. Low fluid will cause that 5th gear issue.

$3500 all day my neon with 80k is $6500 no lights on dash. I have owned a srt 4 for 18 years the car needs a 1 3 5 gear extender maybe bushing. Only thing bushings did was stiffen shifts up

Love those older Grand Prixs, should have a 3.4 DOHC in it, I could be wrong but the tires at first glance look oversized and if i remember correctly it should have 225/60/16s on it.

I had abs and brake lights on my old Chevy Avalanche and randomly my breaks would lock up and i pulled the abs fuse from the fuse box back when i still owned the car. fixed the random lockups

I had the same issue with a 2013 Silverado 4X4. It was lifted with big tires and the front drivers wheel would randomly lock up. At 70mph that's sketchy as hell. 😂 Ended up being a bad wheel speed sensor.

I’ve seen these at dealers in CT that are 1 owner and have 70-100k miles and KBB and Edmond’s say value is $2.800-$5.200 with less miles. Dealers can sell them for about $1,000 k over private sale. So $6,200 but that’s with no engine light and working trans. I’m sure it’s just the flywheel and pressure plate isn’t pushing it in far enough to engage 5th. If this car had a clutch put in then someone didn’t line up the plates or replace the pressure pin correctly.

Hate check engine lights. My 2004 srt4 honestly always had it on. No mods. , had tps problems for a while but even afterwards. The codes were often emissions evap. They just didn't like that fence pipe exhaust.

I wish I knew how to drive a car with a manual transmission, I would think about bidding on the SRT. But sadly I don't. My mom when she was teaching me to drive bought an automatic not long before I got my learners permit. She was like the drivers ed program would have a car with a manual transmission, they didn't. The drivers ed car had an automatic transmission, so I never learned to drive a car that had a manual transmission.

A Dodge neon turbo will last 200K max I am 43 years ASE certified. I would never buy a turbo vehicle without a compression test first. Big gamble. No, fifth gear is either a cable adjustment or a broken snap ring on the shift rod, internal repair. hey brother, small engine turbo vehicles don’t last. Duh it doesn’t take a rocket scientist to know that.
