G'afternoon Randy 🤓 .. Ha ha, you know why the Cutlass kept cutting out and dying like that Randy 😋 . Shortly after OBD2 came out the ECM in the GM vehicles monitor battery temperature voltage and charge rate which controls the voltage regulator. If the battery is stone cold dead like that when you do get it started it'll run off the alternator but it'll cut out and die like that sometimes even if your foot is on the gas. When you put a hot battery in it sometimes it'll come around right away and sometimes it'll take a little while but eventually the sensors will come back online for the charging system and the voltage regulator will know what to do and it'll straighten itself out and start running right 🙃 ..

Man! You are killing it with all of these oldschool 90's cars Randy! I love it! Like this one, they look cool. They were super comfortable cruisers. They got decent gas mileage. What's not to like? This one would be worthy of fixing that deleted A/C for sure. Maybe a tank of fresh gas. A good clean and shine by Brian, and this would be epic! I'd drive that sumbitch until the tires fell off!

Parents owned a 1994 Pontiac Bonneville SSEi and for the time it was a really nice family sedan that could move. That 3800 V6 was bullet proof, however the supercharger GM put on it wasn't. My first car was a 1989 Pontiac 6000STE AWD. When I was looking at cars, it was between that, a 1990 Buick Regal GS coupe (was going to buy this but the odometer didn't work) and a 1989 Olds Toronado Trofeo.

The SL was the top of the line but could still have velour or leather. The "S" could be optioned up to become an SL. I sold these from 1990 to the last one in 1997. My first new car was a 1995 Oldsmobile Cutlass Supreme SL Coupe in Cayenne Red. The entire dash, console and door panels were redesigned, and the seat belt anchors were installed in the B-pillars where they belong. I bought a 2000 Oldsmobile Alero GLS Coupe from a Copart in Oregon. That car came from an estate sale in Colorado and sat for seven years before I bought it. It was another perfect car.

In this crazy time any car this nice that drives is around $6000 where I live. I bought mine for $300 and drove it home. A year or two before pandemic. I was able to get it for only $300 knowing that it was probably just that. I was right. I'm only about $600 total into mine so far and it's only got 89k on it.
