I have the same car same color with 336000 miles on it same tranny replaced the engine at 300000 miles due to overheating still going 70 80 90mph with no shaking . Toyota is bullet proofcar

Surprised you had to replace the engine honestly. That’s typically the strongest part of this car. Glad you got a lot of life out of it either way.

Saw this car off his channel and found you from the comment you made on the video. I have a 2009 sedan like yours, it makes a weird rattling noise when it’s at idle or in park does yours do this? Mechanic says ac compressor is going out but even using the heat or even if the air is off it still makes a weird whining noise, then sometimes rattling noise. Also had a few weird issues with alternators. Original one went out January of 2021, used 3 different Bosch alternators from Napa auto parts they all kept going out then I decided to go oem with a denso made in Japan and it’s held up so far since July. But no issues yet with yours??? My air filter box by the engine shakes as well when car is parked when I pop the hood up.

I also have a 2009 Yaris. 4 door hatch back. No such issues like your's. I do notice when the fan on the AC/Heater is on full speed, there is loud noise from the front of the car; someone said leaves or something in the air ways. I just dont know. You seem much more informed then me about cars. Good luck fixing your car issues.

When I had the ABS light on, I just replaced the wheel bearing where the abs sensor is connected.

My whole wiring harness melted. Scotty Kilmer did a video on it where he featured my car and fixed the issue.

I would like to know about this car I have a 2007 I just need a switch for my left side for the blinker an the right side for the windshield wipers were can I get them from I am from California
Hey man, funny thing, I commented on this video when I found you from Scotty’s channel last year, my 2009 yaris sedan abs and brake light just came on yesterday, pretty sure it’s the same thing as yours that happened. That wheel speed sensor right? What else needed replacing? I’m dreading going to the Toyota dealer. I do all my own work myself but this is something I’ve never dealt with before. Everything you know helps!

The sensor connector that runs to the wheel speed sensor. Scotty covers it in part 2. I think he did 2 videos with my car. It’s basically just the wiring and the connector. @@thedavephan ok thanks! And did your abs and brake light keep coming on and off? When mine came on last weekend, it shut off a day later. Then came on on Monday. Then today it shut off again. So strange. Both the brake and Abs light.

@@thedavephan thanks for the quick replies, weird though, my 2009 yaris sedan which is literally your exact car, mine keeps coming on and off. Everything’s normal with the car . Braking feels great and fine, I just did my front pads and rotors in December. Put duralast rotors on, with akebono brake pads . The brake fluid is full, everything’s been normal these lights came on out of no where. I know I’m his video he said you left the emergency brake on and drove with it on. I’ve never used my emergency brake.

@@thedavephan thanks again. I’ll order the parts. They look cheap. I’ll do both rear sensors and I’ll reply on here and let ya know what happens. Do you still have the car?

Nice! I have my Yaris with 125 k... debating to replace transmission oil or not...car runs great..
@thedavephan2 жыл бұрын
If you have never replaced it before. Strongly consider not doing it. If you do, just drain and fill. Don’t flush it.
