I like the mods you made to this. Only thing I would have done different is I would have left the stock shocks. Just personal taste, but I prefer the better ride over looks. Only thing I can say I don't like is the look of the mirror studs sticking up with the extensions. I wouldn't change it though. Would just have to get used to it, because I love the mirrors mounted below.

being air cooled is something you know going in with a harly. at least the new M8's do have the oil coolers to every little bit helps. understand the Daytona strip to the beach ugggh. I live in jax and I go down there too. just the price of living in paradise - florida that is. cool. you will love the new bike.

Hey Blockhead. You're the only one with vids of the FXDLS that really gets the bike. Others have sissy bars, 13" bars, etc.... You kept yours to align with the spirit of the bike. I just ordered my Radial sweepers and mirror extensions. I'll be selling my V&H High Output 2 into 1 Short. It was a good pipe, sounded like a jackhammer, but I never really felt that it sounded the way a Harley should sound. Hopefully, the Bassani will give me a "more Harley" sound. I'm really disappointed tho that you sold your bike. You had one of the most informative sites for the Low Rider S available. Now, I'll have to rely on others to inspire me. Sure wish you'd buy your FXDLS back. Anyhow, thanks for all the vids for this bike. Really appreciate it.

Hey Blockhead. Tell you what. I have a 2017 Lowrider S that I've bumped up to the 117 and a few other goodies but it's still street reliable. Build that 2019 FXDR however you'd like and let's meet at a track either here where I'm at in Bristol TN or in Florida or somewhere and let's just run them for the hell of it. What do you say? I'm only asking because it broke my heart when you went with the newer Softail and I wanna be the one that makes you regret it. Lol

Yours looked almost as good as mine! Edit: I just went on amazon and bought the mirror mounts to flip them down.

"Almost" as good, haha. Tip on the mirror mount install: Left side, add a small spacer to the front of the extension between the clutch lever part and extension if you don't have enough clearance full tilt left. I had to add a small nylon spacer for it to barely clear the tank.

Do you wear earplugs and if not or yes. Does a loud or louder exhaust bother your riding enjoyment at all. Meaning even if you have fairly loud pipes can you ride for hours without the sound bother your enjoyment??

I love the idea of the Harley Davidson community that comes with the bikes and the idea of buying American more than anything but you really can’t say anything is really made in America anymore but. Hopefully Harley will and kinda has to change their whole outlook on their bikes and looks like they are!! The older guys that were against change and growing with the times are fading away unfortunately so Harley has to change to accommodate the new breed and it slowly looks like they are!!

It’s just a matter of checking out new stuff as the bikes come out and ride them,,, the loud pipes sound great on any bike especially Harley but I still like stock pipes on all bikes practice and training and riding skills to me will always be more important than loud anything tho ! Sorry 😐 I read even on stock pipe bikes if you don’t wear ear plugs you will go deaf from wind , engine noise , and of coarse the louder the pipes are !! Just what I learned 🤙🏻

Must be nice to be able to afford a new 2017 bike then spend a shit load of money on it. Then ride it for a little while and sell it and get an even newer more expensive bike etc etc. Some people or most are lucky to have one bike for entire life time. So enjoy and I hope you don't mind having to go to a job every day just to pay for your stuff. Giving you probably much less time to enjoy what you have.
