My husband thinks I'm a crazy person because every time we go to Barnes & Noble I have to visit the notebooks. Just to say Hi and see if any of them want to come home with me. :-) Right now I have 6 unused notebooks and 5 unused sketchbooks in my stash. But I am impressed that you have so many notebooks in your stash that you can use one and give one away every month in 2019. I would LOVE to see that collection! My eyes are getting googly just thinking about the possibility of that. Eek I hope I'm not the only one. I say, the more notebooks and planners, the merrier! Especially if your motivation to use them stays high. For 2019, I have three planners I'm using; one for health/fitness/well-being because I am getting old and have a chronic dysfunction and need to make sure that I do what needs to be done to stay on top of my health, one for managing my life as I am the CEO/CFO of our household as well as a self-employed accountant, and one to manage my spirituality because if I don't manage that I'll never evolve, or level-up, as the kids say. Then I have several notebooks/sketchbooks I use for gardening, journaling, information gathering, adventures, sketching, line drawing, art journaling, and such.

OMG this video was amazing! I LOVE planners and notebooks, and really enjoyed seeing how you use all of yours! You gave me a great idea for using pages from a happy planner that I am not using-washi taping over the dates and repurposing the pages is genius! I use a Hobonichi for journaling, a happy planner for everyday planning, a Jibun Techo for goal setting and tracking, a wellness happy planner, and a Scribbles that Matter for notes on books that I’m reading.

I love the Plot Thickens you put on your plotting setup! Not sure why they'd think it was chickens although unless they may have dyslexia like my daughter. As a total planner junkie and Indie author, I loved every minute of this video! Please do an update on your "And the Plot Thickens" planner. That name is awesome by the way. I am currently using an ECLP as my main planner; just picked up another ECLP (horizontal) for journaling all about a major life change happening; a petite EC for menu planning; have an Agenda 52 for self-care/gratitude; a personal size Indie planner for writing down a Bible verse a day; a mini Happy Planner for on-the-go (great idea to jot down all expenses -this I will incorporate instead of getting a whole other planner just for budgeting!); a classic HP for each of the following: my bath and body business, an upcoming Etsy shop, social media, and fitness. I also have a BIG teacher HP for homeschooling my younger boys and a BIG HP for anything to do with our 107-year-old home whether it's cleaning and organization, repairs, or yardwork. Lastly, I plan on getting a Foxy Fix to replace my catch-all; a few EC notebooks (for writing, journaling about my kiddos, and gardening); also a HP Faith Warrior, Memory planner, and Recipe keeping. Looking at this lists make me feel nuts, but I love how much more organized and in control I am. I also don't write in every single one every single day.

Omg!!! Yaaassss this is why I am here, destined to find this comment. I just bought a century old too and it's a huge project I can't ignore even though we're planning for upgrades later. Just joined an fb group do fabulous DIY builders and this video just helped me realize I need a planner for everything! I hope you have a YT channel too. I'd love to really transition myself from being in the head space and into the living space. Have been bogged down by my own thoughts for way too long. I'm so glad I found you! I'm also a writer, but work a full time demanding job, and I'm very disorganized. I have two planners (one undated law of attraction planner & I just bought a new Happy Planner and cover). I'm hoping this is the year I finish the final draft of the novel and do a lot more crafting. The novel is completed, but I decided to add a character, so a lot of it needs to be rewritten. Wow! I'm not Planner prejudiced but I am certainly envious. In the end the only thing that matters is if it works for you. I believe planners are like the plans themselves, they change. I love so many of your ideas. I live in my planners. This will be the first year I have a HP though and I hope to use only 2 planners. I am older now, but when all 6 kids were at home and adding in having our 6 foster kids, I had to make my own designs for many portions of my planners to fit that many kids. Then I also color coded each child because it was more efficient to just use dots of color instead of their full name, LOL. Thanks for inspiring me to get my planners filled with such fun things.

The relaxing part is huge. I used to only use a very thin cheap monthly planner. That is all I really needed. It was easy to carry around and use at work and home. But planning in these "new planners" is therapeutic, and it also helps with being organized, and meeting goals. It is a win-win situation. Almost all hobbies are therapeutic (or simply fun), but one can really achieve self-improvement in many areas of life with planners (if it's your thing).

I love using many notebooks as well💙 For next year I'm using a small bullet journal, a Rituals for Living Dreambook for goal planning and memory keeping, a budget notebook, a journal where I write all my stories, a morning pages journal, a daily thoughts/memories journal, a notebook for my stationery business, a Recollections budget planner for my business, a journal for quotes I like, a journal for swatching my new pens and washi tapes, an ideas journal, a character bank notebook, a food journal, and a Literary Listography journal. I'm a minimalist in most areas of my life, but notebooks isn't one😉

I love love love this. 😍 This is the first year I bought 3 planners (and am going to buy one more) and I thought maybe I was being too extra. I have two separate bullet journals. One has lots of collections and trackers in addition to monthly and weekly spreads, and the other is all of my daily spreads broken up into half-hour increments from six AM to ten PM. I get some odd looks for carrying around two different journals, but it keeps me so organized. I’ve tried so many different types of traditional planners, but none of them worked for me. So if you think planners just aren’t for you, try bullet journaling, if you haven’t already! A lot of people on youtube have very fancy and artistic spreads, but if you find that intimidating, you can always specifically search for minimalist bullet journal spreads/plan with me videos.

Much Em I can’t ever seem to find just the right pre-laid out planner either, though I’d love it if I could. There’s always something off (for me) about how they work. Mostly, there’s just not enough pages for notes, lists, writing, etc. I need a half dated-half bullet journal style planner all in one book.

Cannot believe this was 48min! I skipped an 18min video to see this bc that one had all ring planners. Did not waste my time as I did housework. Basically gave me solutions for all of my planning and Journaling and life organizing conundrum! I've been Journaling and buying a planner for almost 20yrs with very little consistency but always a need to organize. I started shifting to phone which made it more hectic. I keep a notebook or space for almost all of the topics you mentioned and never thought of actually hard lining the division. With increasing responsibilities, planner became a task rather than a tool. Major takeaways : planner for different aspects of life - which helps creates a temporal organization of all things simultaneously but segregated! Love the meal prep planner, the memory planner, and project planner. I always carry something to write on or need something to write on no matter where I am. Thanks for such an instructional video, with smooth segways to concise self promotions, directing every sentence purposefully, and discussing key features of each product. I've been looking for the right planner almost all my life! Sad but hey, it's a start!

I feel gulity when i would buy so many planners and not use them. I finally dont! LOL. But i eventually learned I had to design my own planner binder. I am so much happier with it now.

I have 4 happy planners. 1 for each blog X 3 blogs, then my personal one. It took me a while to realize why some people have more than 1 planner and now I know! with 3 blogs + my personal life + any baby appointments I just can't write it all in 1 planner. Also the only way to know where all your time went to extra projects is to keep track of what you created "that day" which is why it's easy to keep 1 planner for each blog. I keep the To Do List and Blog Post Idea lists in each planner too.

I love having different covers! I do use Hobonichi...Cousin, Techo AND Weeks. Cousin for my business, Techo for personal and Weeks for EDC. I switch out covers for the every season to keep it fresh and wardrobe cute. So where do you do the majority of your planning? Do you have a home office or somewhere else in your home? I am using a Classic Happy Planner for daily planning. I bought a couple of Carpe Diem binders (that I don't like) that I plan to use next year for my writing organization, with your Bootcamp/quarterly pages. I have two Big Happy Planners. I want to take one and use it for plotting. I also have a Mini Happy Planner that I was going to set aside when I bought the classic, but I may make that a budget planner. I need help in that department. And I have 4 Leuchtturm journals. One is for witchy stuff--the crystals I own, herbs, spellwork, etc. It's blank at this point, but that's the plan. lol Another is for tarot readings and astrology. And the last 2 are blank. I plan to use one as simply a journal. The other may be saved until I full up the journal one or it may be for dreams. I like the idea of a gratitude journal. I need reminders to do more visualizing. I have a question. The happy planner pink covers (the leather-looking ones), what size rings and how much content can fit in those? I use expander rings are all of my HPs. I'd like one of those covers for my mini, but I wonder if a year's worth of pages, plus a folder and some notepaper, etc. and the expander rings would fit. I have a feeling it won't. lol

I don't think expander rings will fit in the mini cover, but they probably will in the big one. I have classic rings in my mini and that's about as big as it's going to get. No way I could fit a whole year in here with all the notes and pictures I have.

I'm a writer too (unpublished) have been struggling with consistency for a few years, mostly due to mental health, but I really want to get back on my planner and writing game, and I finally think I found planner peace. For YEARS I've kept a dated daily journal and a weekly planner - but I've decided to just go with a planner to plan in and a regular old pretty journal to journal my thoughts and feelings in. I used the Happy Planner before, but it made me feel like a loser, same with the daily dated planner if i didn't journal that day. I would look at it and see all this empty space. For the last 4 months of this year, I've switched to an A5 6 ring binder. I love it. I bought the "grape" A5 Bliss planner from Carpe Diem that's a gorgeous dark purple and has such pretty insides for 2019 - but i am also a sticker user, big time. I know i want to track what i'm reading, my word count, other writing goals and things like grocery shopping, etc, you know,. daily life stuff and goals - but there isn't so much crazy room, that I look at the page and think...you just put down all these stickers for nothing but to look at.

I think she will be offering the planner free again when you sign up for her Magical Playbook... another tool you might find handy. I use several planners, too.
