Beautiful build. I’m just starting the process as well with 07. Express 2500. 6.0. Looking at weld tech lifts. They make a 3” and 5”. I see yours is a 4”. Did you have to trim anything for the 33” tires?
@stevealves9063 Жыл бұрын
Hi, Thank you! I had to trim the lower front, plastic spoiler, it was rubbing. I still catch it a little if I turn up or down an incline sharply, but not enough to worry about.
@stevealves9063 Жыл бұрын
I had a generic 4" lift installed. It's been great. I don't do heavy off road trips so I didn't pay $$ for Weld-Tec, it's great stuff though from what I can tell.

Nice build bud! In 2022 I’ll set to do a whole lot of traveling for business purposes. I’m looking to do something similar or just invest in a luxury suv and hitting hotels. How comfortable would you be in this van for extended times? What range did you end up in price wise for the total build?

Hi, I spent 65K total. That included buying a new 2020 van. The van is very comfortable to sleep in and maneuver around inside. I have only camped in it on weekends but, I would take it on a 2 week cross country trip anytime.

LOOKS OK, BUT YOU NEED A POP TOP AND SOME FRIKIN SOLAR...HOW HIGH IS THE LIFT YOU PUT ON IT........YOU SEEM TO HAVE A GOOD SENSE OF BALANCE AND PROPORTION, YOU JUST NEED MORE FUNCTIONAL CAMPING ACCESSORIES SINCE IT'S SET UP FOR OFF ROAD.........
@stevealves9063 Жыл бұрын

@@stevealves9063 YOU COULD PUT A BLACK SOLAR PANEL ON TOP OF THE SOLAR POP TOP AND IT WOULD ALL FIT TOGETHER AESTHETICALLY. I THINK THE ECO FLOW DELTA SOLAR GENERATOR COULD SUPPLY ALL THE POWER YOU MIGHT NEED...... HOWEVER, YOU MAY NOT WANT TO TURN IT INTO A CAMPER VAN, BUT I COULD SEE THE POTENTIAL..
