Not sure if anyone has mentioned it, but you can open the “flapper valve” that’s behind where the stock muffler was and it has a “helicopter” sound whenever it kicks into 4-cylinder mode

But you have off switch for engine cut off right. Doesn't that keep it in 8 cyl, and only reset once car is off?

@@Cosmic_Deity I think you need to get a tune to delete it. I did on my ram and it’s a slight improvement in sound, mpg and low speed performance. You’d think mpg would suffer on “paper” and yes it does in a lab test. But in the real world where you aren’t pussy footing it… it causes mpg loss when it’s constantly switching in and out of cylinders. Especially when you tap the gas to pass someone that delay is annoying. Not to mention defeating the mds is easier on the lifters so reliability is improved. This is because mds systems work by collapsing the lifters on the shut down cylinders so they no longer open the valves. That isn’t good for the lifters long term.

Man did you go for long drive? I did muffler delete on 2016 escalade esv and man on 1.5k rpm ir drones like crazy.and just in general it is so loud inside.i use to have set up like yours on silverado 6.2 and there was nice and quiet inside.do you think resonator makes it louder? Or maybe because tailpipe under rear bumper?

From what I heard, removing the resonator make its loud and more drone noise on the inside. I prefer to keep the resonator to not have too much cabin noise
