I got the The Row black zip boots last year for the full price. I was sweating as I swiped my card at Harrods, but in retrospect it was one of my best purchases. I have worn them at least 5 times a week since, they make every outfit better and magically make my legs look slimmer. Also the narrow ankle is an absolute game changer for wearing boots with jeans and trousers. LOVE them

I am in awe of your Banana Bag determination! I caved, but by the time I caved, the large in leather was all sold out and they'd moved onto nylon (at that price, no thank you!) However, I accidentally found myself in the men's section on My Theresa, and there it was. Bought it and put it side by side with the women's and they are identical. I have the Filippa K t-shirt and it's absolutely gorgeous, washes beautifully and looks amazing, like everything else they do. I have to say, though, I have this 'must save this for best' mentality when it comes to a sixty-five quid t-shirt and so I still keep reaching for my Uniqlo ones for every day! x

Yes I would love something like this. Have entered my early thirties and after lockdown have realised my wardrobe is full of clothes I will never wear and that aren’t my style anymore (lots of bold colour and prints). Oh my word!!! I just got that Cos slouchy bag!!! I almost spent $2500 on the Row slouchy bag until I came to my senses. The larger one has a canvas strap. I just couldn't justify spending silly money on any Mary Kate and Ashley stuff. I bought the Cos one and love it! Love you and your videos.

I will say that basic tees are extremely personal to purchase since you have to love them so much to wear them every day. I’ve tried the everlane, the arket, the Nordstrom basic tees and I still go back to target’s “universal threads” basic tees and H&M oversized basic tees. Both $5 and last me a few years. I don’t know if I could get myself to do a $65 tee since I’d probably love it and need to buy 7 more. 😂

I have the H&M dupe of those zip-up boots from The Row and I really like them! They've lasted through an intense winter, they cost $50 and they look almost exactly like the boots from The Row, plus they don't use real leather, which I prefer as a vegan (plus there's no way I could afford $1500 boots 😂). They're called the "water-repellent boots" at H&M in case you want to check them out!

The slouchy banana bag from The Row reminds me SO much of an old (like 15-20 yrs ago!) Gap leather bag - I think it was a backpack - that I used to own and got rid of. Dang! Do I ever wish I’d held on to that one.

Hi Emma great wish list. I want to say I admire your responsible way of shopping and planning that goes into it. I love most of the items mentioned. I think the Prada loafers are not a forever piece. They are too structured and I feel if you are a fan of slouchy effortless garments, they wouldn’t pair as seamlessly as the other loafers you have mentioned. But again that’s why I decided to take them off my list.

I fell in love with the Prada loafers as well. Had the same issues as you, not fond of logo’s either. But there is something about them that I couldn’t find anywhere else. I bought the brown pair. It’s a lovely colour, very versatile and you don’t see them as much as the black.

As a loafer lover I own Gucci chunky, Gucci ‘regular’ and two Dear Frances Luca. And a high number of fratelli Rossetti loafers, the Brera are iconic and still not ‘seen’ as Gucci. They are not ‘affordable’ but when on sale at a slightly lower pricepoint compared to Gucci or DF. Flamenco is on my list too. About the ‘banana vibes’ bag I’m pondering on polene dix, great price for quality.

Definitely use thread up, and the real real. You can save a lot of money on designer staples. Posh mark can be great as long as the seller isn’t a flake. Then I would go to buying new once you can’t find what your looking for at a discount. Or it is such an essential you want it new for all the wear possible. I do find news with tags on all three all the time. Maybe try a rental subscription to get a feel for what you’ll wear VS what you wish you’d wear.

I got the Vagabond Alex W chunky loafers last Autumn and they’re brilliant. Good quality leather and great price. I was over the Prada ones the minute they were all over Instagram and actually think an alternative is cooler. Recommend a look!

I'm on the hunt for short wool coats. They're versatile because they're nice enough to go out in the real world and to also walk the pups while keeping warm (very important!). Sezane has a high collar one and Acne has a herringbone one that I've been investigating.

Filippa K is one of the original Swedish minimalistic sustainable brands that without a doubt has inspired other newer ones like Toteme, Arket, & Other Stories etc. Filippa K is amazing quality, I have 3-4 thinner blouses that I bought in 2015 and 2016 that look brand new still.

I know you’ve had a bad experience with everlane in the past due to shipping restrictions to the UK. But you should take a look at their rewool pea coat! It’s thick, oversized, have buttons and come in a few colours. And it’s on 60% off !!

Hope it helps: Uniqlo U in the Mens section have the best t-shirt ever for 12,90 euros. Oversized fit, amazing weight of the fabric and great options in colours (beige, brown, black, white, sage green, navy, etc). It's called 'UNISEX UNIQLO U CREW NECK SHORT SLEEVED T-SHIRT'(12,90 euros) and the new fit 'UNISEX UNIQLO U AIRISM COTTON OVERSIZED FIT CREW NECK HALF SLEEVED T-SHIRT' (14,90euros) is even better because half-sleeved ! From XXS to 3XL it was meant to be unisex. I take XS there, when I'd go for a Medium in a women's section for oversized fit.

The key difference I think between yourself and myself is that I am quite petite at only 5‘2“. I've been slowly curating my wardrobe for the past 2 years (I'm planning to have a huge declutter soon. 90% of my wardrobe is no longer my style or size.) My new style is definitely inspired by Emma. My wishlist is quite long as I'm still building my new refreshed wardrobe, but ON THE TOP TOP TOP of the list are tailored trousers. I don't own any, and it's SUCH A STRUGGLE to find reasonably priced, natural fibres (whether full or high content %), petite friendly tailored slouchy/baggy trousers!!!! It either costs an arm and a leg for something twice my height, or reasonably priced but 100% polyester. Mine is a trench coat and I found the perfect one but delayed by a few days from ordering it online and,needless to say,once I decided to buy it,it had disappeared! So frustrating! Emma, don't forget about Men's second hand market when looking for those wool short coats. I think you might have better luck! I own 2 organic cotton t shirts & I have to wash them in delicate cold & hang to dry & then Iron. They are Very High Maintenance. AND... My White Tee now has a stain that I can not get out. I think If I washed it in Hot with bleach it might remove the stain, but it would ruin the shirt.

Im swedish and Filippa K is one of my favourite brands. The brand is swedish. I have a lot of clothes from the brand, both tshirts, shirts, a coat, trousers and jeans and they last several years. The quality is always amazing. I dont own that perticular tshirt but a similar one that i have used for i think 5 years now and it still looks brand new. Hope that helps 😊

Ive been on the hunt spending so many dollars here and there (im in NY) and these tees quickly turn to sleep shirts, not ideal. However! I have been completely surprised and shocked with my white and black tees from Uniqlo - literally shocked. The white stays white, the black stays black no matter how many washes.. they sell nice boxier tees which is what I like now. The material is thick but soft and comfortable. Just an idea! With nothing underneath do some nice crisp, striped shirts. Think they’re called poplin? ( they also have linen ones but obviously that’s not the same) I find they are oversized but they’re not as huge/long as the Arket ones, you could always size up a few times. Wash well, nice quality.. don’t feel noisy like school shirts ( my pet peeve 😅!) Think it’s a small business, women owned etc so that’s a nice bonus!

Hi Emma! I have the Loewe Flamenco (small size, though) in tan - which is slightly lighter as compared to the Puzzle in tan. It’s a great bag. Just one tip regarding Prada shoes; they are a bit narrow and run on the small side of the sizing chart. Be sure to up-size at least 1/2 a size.

I have the Alexis tshirt in Ivory. It’s not a white, they don’t make a white. It’s OK. I wouldn’t say it’s a huge value for the price. it’s a very luxurious feeling T-shirt. But because of the price it’s a little precious and I probably don’t wear it as much as I would if it was an Arket or a Cos T-shirt. Lukewarm recommendation.

Hi Emma, I’ve recently discovered the brand Yes Friends and they make responsible tees for less than £8. I love the boxy, masculine fit of the tees (which I always struggle to find!) and the cotton is great quality. Nice wishlist, I really really love that Loewe Flamenco bag 😍 My own wishlist just say summer clothes 😂I don't like summer, I don't know what to wear, I hate summer clothes. I've spend the last couples of summers wearing the same 3 black tanks tops with straight legs jeans, but I'm getting a bit tired of that. I'm gonna need to try and experiment with different styles, maybe switch the jeans for trousers, try wearing sandals instead of sneakers, I don't know...I'm definitely a winter clothes kind of girl, knitwear is my favourite thing. I have to stop myself from purchasing more because after my sale purchases, I have almost no space left 😂 Have a great week Emma :)

For the loafers, I also wanted the Prada loafers but I really hate the logo. So what I did was I looked for vintage Gucci loafers. Found one that is close enough. It was $70CAD. 👌🏼

Hi Emma! With your Loewe cushion bag, i think you should check out Yu Mei - its a New Zealand bag brand (im from NZ) and they're quite minimalist. They have the canvas and black colour way that you're after! Its not quite the shape you want, but they are beautiful, quality bags for quite affordable prices (especially compared to Loewe!!!)

I do like the shape but for me the logos are a bit too much (I'm not a fan of big logos🙈), I would have preferred a more subtle logo. But as I always say, if it is something that is your taste and fits your style then that is all that matters ❤️

I think I may be falling into the trap of buying because it's relatively less :( I definitely do want to get the small sangle, so maybe I should wait for that. ❤️ It really depends on personal preference and style and for such an investment it needs to be something that works for you. But I personally find the Loewe Puzzle bag really versatile and get so much wear from it 👍.
