Esteban is absolute S tier on its own for me, but taking it together with Gasly's it is almost like they intentionally went for a good/evil combo. Classic angel Vs devil stuff which I think is hilarious and definitely my headcanon now.

Hey Tommo, the red hearts on Nyck de Vries his helmet are actually called Pompeblêden. It's some kind of leaf. It's a thing from Frisian culture (a region in the Netherlands where he comes from) We also (frisians) have our own language.

I look at a helmet and think to myself "would I wear in on a motorbike" where everyone and anyone can sit there and gawk at it... and frankly the only ones I would absolutely wear (minus branding in a lot of cases) would be Ocon, Norris, Gasly (honestly, you can never be too flashy on a motorbike... it's like you wear camouflage when you are on two wheels) and maybe Sir Lewis. Yuki and LeClerks are also worth a mention but only because I like the leaf pattern and simplicity of LeClerk's.

Those "hearts" on the helmet of Nick de Vries aren't hearts, but "pompeblêdden". Which is Frysian (the second official language of the Netherlands) for water lily leaves. Those pompeblêdden are also on the flag of his province "Friesland". My differing opinions are: im not a fan of the mercedes after seeing it on track. the black paint along the carbon makes the car look cheap. It is just so jarring with the straigh line cutting off the carbon from the black paint. The ferrari i would put at S, I think i prefer to last years and after seeing it under the sun the new shade of red makes it looks so nice. Additionally, I actually really like that black carbon box poking out. I feel it really grabs viewers attention when you see the ferrari go around the track. Finally, as a mclaren fan I just hate the direction the liverly has been going. Just feels like skittles thrown up on the car this year and last year.

I feel like the people who have been getting the most excited about Gulf sponsorship don't actually know how little the brand has actually to do with F1 historically. It has more to do with endurance racing through Ford, Porsche and Aston Martin. Not F1. Like to me, the gulf livery on an F1 car looks... Wrong. And you could say the same about Martini, but I think Williams actually did it quite well, definitely better than when Lotus had the Martini branding in the early 1980s.

I won't put an actual order inside the tiers. Mentioning an S tier before the other one will only depend on where they are on Tommo's tier list or if I decide to change their tiers afterwards Let's go with liveries first S: Aston Martin, Alpink A: Red Bull, Williams, Haas B: Ferrari, Mercedes, Alphatauri C: Alfa Romeo, McLaren, Alpine Suits (I guess with a bit of commentary): S: Haas (the balance is amazing and I love that almost black shade of grey), Mercedes (that full black uniform is really sharp) A: Williams (I don't like the fact that the red line under the armpits stops, otherwise it's amazing), McLaren (I don't mind the black boxes around the sponsors, but agree that it would be better without them), Aston Martin (when going with suits, simple is usually best. My only issue is that it feels like a different green from the car's) B: Alpine (both colours work well, both colours work together, both colours work with black, both colours don't work when they're together and with black. Shoulder pads being a different blue than the BWT in the center also sucks), Ferrari (needs more red), Alphatauri (see Ferrari. Either that or needs no red, but since Orlen is their main sponsor they can't do less) C: Alfa Romeo (that dark a red doesn't go with black, needs some separation), Red Bull (needs less red) Helmets (this one will go in same order as Tommo's) (won't elaborate since I want to watch the rest of the video) S: Verstappen, Tsunoda, Sainz, Leclerc, Bottas preseason, Albon A: Zhou, Sargeant, Russell (somehow this livery makes Mercedes' livery even worse), Perez, Ocon, Norris, Bottas B: Stroll, Magnussen, Hamilton, Gasly, Alonso C: Piastri, Hulkenberg, De Vries My full suit of the season (let's call it like that) (they won't work well together but whatever) Livery: Aston Martin. I love the pink Alpine livery but I fear it might have to do with the complete darkness that is the rest of the colour palletes. Aston Martin's reflective green is nothing short of mouth watering Race suit: Mercedes. What can I say. I fell in love with that simple solid colour at first sight I can't steer away from it Driver helmet #1: Esteban Ocon. I know it's not S-tier, but that's because going for red instead of the pink or either of the blues completes the circle of being a colouful mess on top of the black, but the helmet itself is absolute fire Driver helmet #2: Max Verstappen. The lion design is beautiful and the way the orange, the white and the blue work here is flawless. Most suckass look this season, nominees: -Valtteri Bottas and Zhou Guanyu: Alfa Romeo this year is the ugliest I've seen in years, but the fault doesn't lie on either of them and they're both a couple details away from having S-tier helmets (in fact Bottas is using one in preseason), so I've got to give them a pass -Pierre Gasly and Esteban Ocon: I would have liked my Alpine boys to sport more bleu on their helmets, but we got what we got. The suits and the car sucks as well but the helmets standing alone are fine. Maybe exchanging white and gold and turning down the brightness a bit on Gasly's would help his case a bit, but it's just fine as it is. Plus, they will be driving those outstanding pink liveries in the first lap around the middle east -Oscar Piastri: My lord that is an ugly helmet. That colour combination actually hurts my eyes. I've got something with this and last year's McLaren's. I don't like the carbon fibre on that car, and apart from that, I don't like the combination between orange/papaya and that shade of blue Those are all unhonorable mentions though. Our winner is: NYCK DE VRIES Livery is ok-ish but it could be worse. The suit could be nice going a step either side but it stayed in the middle and it sucks. The helmet feels like they had a deadline and couldn't think of anything until the last minute and hurried the lines that ended up poorly. The only thing saving Piastri is the really nice McLaren suit though

Overall, my tier list would be very similar to yours, Tommo, but I really don't like the stale bucket blue color of Russell's helmet (C), but I do like the ''in your face attitude'' of Piastri's (A tier). Ocon's def A tier. Lance's simple angel wings deserve more recognition I think.

Actually, the hearts on Nyck de Vries are 'Pompeblêden'. They are on the Frysian flag. A flag of the Dutch province Fryslan, where Nyck comes from.
