I’m not so sure about some of your logic behind these. I mean sure, these things will all increase in value over time, but I don’t see it getting to what people think. Problem is, the amount of these cards printed will never allow supply and demand get to where I think you’re betting it will. There’s just way too much and way too many people doing it. The reason sealed vintage product and high graded vintage cards are worth so much is because no one was doing it back then. There’s almost no chance that can happen with these products. I don’t think 151 will ever be hard to find

I randomly stumbled upon this. I agree with you! The days of doing this now for modern over having enough hindsight from vintage will never work. Sure some cards might slip through the cracks…but overall we are screwed..nothing will be a huge cash grab like what we are living in now based on all the vintage. I regret not staying with the hobby in the 90s and 00s. I got into the games more and sports. I wish I knew about the e series sets since this are way more highly sought after even over base set from what Iv seen. I love the gold star cards too. But honestly I’d just do whatever makes you happy and If it works out 10 years down the road then awesome! I have sealed stuff also but I think my most expensive stuff I have is the 25th anniversary golden japan collection box and the stamp collection box with the stamps included! Definitely add those in before they get too wild in price.

Do you know when 151 will be hard to find? When it stops being printed and people keep opening packs 😁 before leaving a stinky comment like this you should do a little research in the market. Look at evolving skies.

Appreciate the comment, but please know that I never said 151 will compare to vintage, just that it will certainly grow because of how loved it is. Of course nothing will compare to how vintage has taken off, as I totally agree with you that basically nobody was grading cards and keeping things sealed like they are now. 21:21 I also mention how I don’t do everything for the sole sake of investing or appreciating value over time, I add most of this stuff simply for the love of the hobby. The sealed UPC’s and some Pokémon Center ETB’s are the exception as I do believe they’ll grow in value over the next 3-5 years which is my opinion. Appreciate your opinion and good luck collecting in 2024!

It was more of a general overview of how I’m looking at sealed collections and what things will become more rare vs others. But yeah, 151 collection box is definitely a real beauty. 100% will get one to display for the shelf.

This is a good point, but also consider this. Even if a popular card has over 10k, PSA 10 copies there will be way more people wanting said card than there are copies available. Theres some gray area here but these are all valid points and considerations. Bottom line is dont Pokemon for $$$

My best thing i got this year was few months ago i bought few premium collection boxes to open for KZbin video and i pulled a moonbreon from a one single evolving skies!! That same stream i also pulled the Aerodactyl v variant art!! It was a day of just pulling the best cards from different sets all from premium collection boxes

Same thing for me lol. I randomly bought 6 packs back in August or September and pulled the full art terra from Gyrados ex. All downhill from there. Now I own 48 Sword and Shield Alt arts and most top hitters from this year

You talk a lot about value in this video, I feel like your not realizing that Pokémon is reverting to normal demand, just buy what you like and think is pretty and eventually after a few years maybe your stuff will grow in value, if you think to much about value you will for sure tire out fast. Pokémon is definitely not a get rich quick method anymore like people thought it was
