Don't forget that for the past couple of race weekends, it has taken Red Bull three practice sessions to find the right balance and setup for Max his car. Austria is a sprint weekend, so Red Bull and Max only have one free practice session to get the car to work this time.

My predictions are 1: Max 2: George or Lewis 3: Lando 4: Charles The reason for putting Lando lower is not due to the car but him as a driver. I'm not saying he's bad, but this circuit is very fast, and Lando tends to crack under pressure, even though it's one of his stronger circuits.

really depends where he qualifies. he struggles to put laps together sometimes, and thats something you need in austria, with such a short track and only 10 corners which you need to nail. if he qualifies top 3 he can

These new upgrades he needs to get on top of first. I’m gonna say top 6 but not podium but as others said quali is gonna matter a lot, and where this is a super short track expect the lap times to be wildly close which could expose him a little I think unless he can get to grips with the car

I do believe that max can clinch it here. The cars are incredibly close, with the mclaren having the edge, but red bull almost always executes their strategy on point. Mclaren has consistently had some weirdness, especially because of lando getting too greedy during the race. as for checo, he just needs to regain some of that driver confidence to pull back into the top 5 running.

I think this weekend is Landos to loose. It will be tight in quali between Lando and Max, the Mercs and Ferraris close by with Perez at the rear. Hopefully Piastri has a better weekend and can at least act as a disctraction for the Mercs and Ferraris whilst Max and Lando have their private battle out front.

Here is my thought, I think you should do your predictions after day 1 of free practise

Lando and McLaren have to win this race. The car appears to be fastest on race trim and suit well in Austria. Their hold as the fastest car may be at risk since in Silverstone a lot of the top teams will bring upgrades. That’s not to say they will not bring good ones (McL has been cooking with upgrades since last year) but McLaren have to maximize every chance they get to win. Plus it’s a confidence booster for next week coming in to their home race
