Love that you’re saving while you’re paying down debt. Truly important not to put savings on hold. Start as early as you can and you’ll get all the benefits of compound interest. That’s a wonderful savings goal. Amazing, you’ll do it.

I totally agree. Being able to chat with other people about my no buy and financial goals has been SO motivating and refreshing. Sometimes finances are a taboo topic and I love being in our own little corner of the internet here where honesty and transparency are key. Personal finance really is a balancing act! I feel like there’s so many goals all at once and then the emotions that come with it! I am also in the boat of wanting a house but not wanting a house. Sure I’d love to but it’s not looking like something that will happen in the near future so I’ll focus on other goals. Love your 2025 goals and so amazing that you hit your goal of saving 45% this past year!

And finances already have such a stigma but getting to have convos like this with other real people trying to figure life out is awesome and makes me feel so much better haha. @ yes! For now focusing on investing into my 401k and Roth IRA and my goal is fund the remainder of my emergency fund next year. Also putting together a sinking fund for a few trips in 2025, so that will be something to look forward to!

I vote for paying off the debt. You’ll have peace and will stop wrestling with this mentally. I’ve also been watching Dave Ramsey on repeat as you can tell 😅 I love that you and I have similar views on money though!
