That's funny that Janni loves the Mason jar glasses and wants to take them to Monaco, because they started out here in the US as the cheapest type of bottles possible! They're made for canning vegetables at home, but also for drinking illegal homemade moonshine liquor. It would be like drinking out of a soup can or a milk bottle because you couldn't afford a real glass. Now it's gotten more sophisticated with a handle attached, but it's still pretty cheap if you're drinking out of a glass with screw-top threads on it. It's a bottle!
