It's wild how timeless a 32 y/o car can look. BMW really nailed the aesthetic with the E36

@@bendaga my dad's 316i had the hardest time, was my practice drift car 😭. I had to get good pretty fast, because if I so much as scratched it, brother I'd be deceased today 💀

BMWDAGA is back!! I’m texting from Europe So here in Poland, these are 99% of the time turned into drift missiles and the crazy thing is that the 1.6 and 1.8 are most of them. And I don’t mind that, they are cheap as heck. My friend bought a working already drift prepared compact for 500$, that’s the good part yk
@bendaga13 күн бұрын
cheers bro! I'm always impressed at how well people can drift the 1.6's with such little power. def a driver mod in the midst. great deal on that compact

Heck of a find! You seem to have some great E36 knowledge but here's what I know from my time in the chassis. And as a daily, dope! There is so much aftermarket available to us. 1. Yellow stuff is a wax, hard to remove but protects the metal. You should spray the shit out of the underside when you're down with Amsoil HD/Fluid Film etc to protect. 2. Anything rubber on the car, due to age will be bad. I just tore apart a 93, all the fuel lines on the car were beginning to split. Not leak, but bad cracks. Check the top of the fuel tank as I doubt anyone has ever touched those. Check out M539s video on how he rebuilt/restored them as new from BMW is like $200. 3. As I mentioned rubber will be trashed, so all the bushings will be sloppy. I think the rear had 17 or 19 when I did it , a complete pita but tons of options/upgrades while you're in there. 4. For a daily, US lights are garbage. Ofc DEPO is the easy way but with some time and effort you can retrofit much better projector housings (Theretrofitsouce) and have a modern lighting system in the 90s housing. 5. I did not know this, but a standard tablet scanner and OBD1 adapter off ebay, and you can read live data. It's not amazing, but it is great when diagnosing. Stomp test be old. Cheers!
@bendaga13 күн бұрын
thanks for all the tips! I have some experience but definitely don't know everything: 1. Ahh that makes sense. I was thinking of removing it but it doesn't bother me too much 2. My fuel return line already split so I'm almost certain those need to be replaced as well 3. The subframe, Diff, and RTAB are in amazing shape but the other stuff like the shocks and suspension bushings are cooked

Hey Zach, always enjoy your videos, long, medium, or short; whether they are at the auction site, in the shop, driveway, on the road, or on the track. Do want you want to your cars, you are a bit of a tinkerer, so embrace it. Just so long as you have one of the cars fully functional. When you were showing the new parts in the shop and there was all the banging it reminded me of another video where the banging was really loud and you looked it the side in frustration then replayed that look for the finished product. How is Ray making out learning to drive manual? He should be a pro. BTW, I used to look down on BMWs as snooty, but you have changed my mind.

Thanks, glad you enjoy the content! Ray is actually pretty good at it. Learning fast!

Unpopular opinion: Never seen this dude or the channel before, clicked for the basic clean e36 (just the way I likem). I knew it was in for the rough treatment but when I saw that sticker on the tacho I just couldn't watch beyond that. Shame for the car and sad thing lady sold it to the most agressive punk.
