I'm literally amazed at what a beautiful home you have at such a price! You're never going to find anything so beautiful, so modern and so comfortable at that price either in Italy or the USA, even if you go to the furthest outreaches of the forest, mountain or desert. I really like your videos and can see that you're a fine young man, very intelligent and filled with a sincere desire to tell others about Turkey, its people, language, culture and history. I've had this same desire since my teenage years: to learn more about your fabulous country. I'm trying to learn some Turkish language too, but it's going to take some time for an almost 62 year old like me! But I want to and you're doing a great job online with your videos. Keep up the good work and I hope one day to come to Turkey and maybe even meet you. Thanks 👍😊

@@sofitocyn100 the ratio of earnings to owning a property is extremely poor in the West - noone is able to achieve.. especially considering Kastamonu is a city, in green and by beatiful sea, in none of the Western countries even with masters, in your 40s you could pay off that flat.. Unless you do extra investments, inheritance, you started very early in life to invest/work double jobs, and unless you were lucky to be from the previously older generation catching the tide to pay in 10=15 years.. Otherwise, everyone in the West who supposedly owns a place do not own it, they rent from the bank to pay off till 70 years old! It is called Mortgage. Turkish real estate has hyper inflation now, but still affordable and still more people are able to buy a place and even if they get credit, it is shorter term. Stop constantly excusing and seeing the West as extremely rich and easy life, it is simply not true! They have better quality of life - more stability, more green, more social norms and behaviour patterns, more environmenta protection, individual justice but that is all they get, their life is not any better. They work till much later ages, their pensions are low if they don't go abroad that is when they use worth of their currency - that is all. That is why they move abroad to cheaper countries when older and retired in 70s!

Fun fact: The reason why in America kitchens and living rooms are usually connected is because we generally don't cook as much as turks. And if we cook, we cook easy things like Mac n Cheese, which is easy to do and doesn't really smell. In Islamic countries however, they usually prefer separate kitchens, since they have a huge food culture and always cook a bunch of food :)

Actually food and cooking became entertainment with the advent of cable tv. People are not shy about cooking around their guests so don’t mind if people watch. People also watch cooking in their spare time so seeing someone cook for them is no big deal. It was fine outside with the BBQ years before. Also easier to watch the kids while making dinner after getting home from work.

Should have explained what Kolonya is mate.. lol the word comes from cologne basically. It's a sort of cologne that will be offered to guests etc. You'll get a liberal pour into your palms and then kinda wash your hands with it. It's very strongly alcoholic so also works as a hand sanitizer or to disinfect small woulds or whatever. The traditional smells are lemon or tobacco (it sounds weird but smells incredible, not like cigarettes or something lol). It's usually offered to guests when they first come in also after dinner or something. If someone faints or doesn't feel well they also hold it under their nose since it opens up the sinuses and kinda works like a smelling salt. the smell is strong but subtle, and it fades rather quickly. It's not meant to function as a perfume etc but more as a pleasant smelling hand sanitizer

Thank you for sharing your personal space! Since I'm just beginning to learn Turkish, I would have loved to see the names of the plates, glasses, dishwasher and everything else pop up in the video as I would see them, so I would have learned them.
