Congrats on your success, I know it is a struggle for a lot of hosts to do well on Turo so glad it is working out for you. I hope Turo sticks around however they need to make some changes because myself as a renter have noticed a lot of changes since the beginning, and not all for the good. I rented quite frequently however the Turo Fees are the #1 issue and complaint for renters. Most hosts have no clue because they can’t readily see it, but the shadiness behind how Turo calculates their fees is very off putting now. Previously it used to be a set percentage of the daily rate, now you get a cryptic answer from support that doesn’t really answer the question when you ask why they can vary even hour to hour, the reality is if the wind blows in a different direction the fees can alter wildly. The fees will just keep going up to a point it may make sense for the company and be profitable but for any renter it will be a no go because they will price themselves out of the market when a Corolla or an Altima or even a BMW costs twice as much as a local rental agency. The super cars and very high end cars are great and work well on Turo but I don’t think you can run a business just on that as other youtubers have pointed out. I think Turo will actually need to step back more from the process and put more of the work on the host to make this platform work and stop the losing of money year over year like a startup. Instead of raising and raising fees to cover their costs they need to remove their responsibility and just be a hosting site with high level oversight and let the host worry about fleet insurance and claims and reimbursement and just be there as an last ditch effort to get involved. Just remember how long AirBNB has been in business and it has barely turned a profit only a couple times and their fees just keep being adjusted too. I feel Turo will go the same way. I wish more hosts could have 35 cars but unfortunately that is the exception and not the rule with Turo and if they keep the same trajectory being a 35 car host will be the needle in a haystack and honestly just a pipe dream. Sorry for the little rant but if Turo is to succeed they really need to take a pause and really evaluate what the long term strategy needs to be but again congrats for your success

@@hussleforthemuscle1814 it's not that difficult actually. Even though I personally have a lot of cars most of the cars are from investors that want to join the business. It's awesome because I get to tell them what cars to buy I make them money I collect a percentage and I get to drive the cars whenever they arent booked🤭. But this is only one way now I'm up to 53 cars as of this message. If this keeps going this way me and my partner should have 100 by the end of next year.

Actually bmw, mb, audi are not quite innovative compares to US full side SUV/ F-150 / trucks. They are stuck in the middle of transitioning to EV. In the meantime, US larger vehicles are quite innovative such as air adjustable shocks, XL, hybrid with 240w AC outlets for power tools and camping appliances. Convertible cars are old school tech. The current US full side trucks as as GMC reminds of the 70s-80s when muscles cars and Cad are top of the hills.

I think many people do it that way to pay their personal vehicles off faster. Once the vehicle is paid off, most buy another car & use that car as a primary Turo vehicle so & so forth. I'm sure it's probably how a lot of Turo folks start off... Works very well if you live in a high tourist market aka: Las Vegas Nevada, Los Angeles CA, Orlando or Miami FL.

Great question! Personally I have 49 cars so far, and I deliver for free ONLY for exclusive clients, but in general I charge a small fee because its its normally to airports I'm delivering and I bring a friend along with me.
