Nice VW, I am shopping for one to use as a touring/overlander rig - can you recommend any forums dedicated to these trucks?

Flip up plate... What a great idea, for umm, you know, safety n stuff. Lol. I'd fit a sprung hinge and an in-cab, cable operated flipper upperer. For safety.

Love my Amarok 👍

Sadly, I don’t love my Amarok anymore! $5k worth of electrical issues 9 months out of warranty, fixed it sold it. Back in a 70 series with no tech to let me down.

I hope you have armour underneath, without armour that drive would make me wince.

What was the name of the phone App that he had to monitor the temperatures and pressures
@anth67403 жыл бұрын
Hey Mate, that app was UltraGauge, you have to buy the specific Bluetooth OBD2 reader from UltraGauge to go with it. However I’ve since switched to car scanner app using a Carista Bluetooth OBD2 reader. The reason I switched is because the UltraGauge Bluetooth can’t do Trans temp, but car scanner does. The rest of the functionality is pretty similar between the two apps.

Ever missed the low range?
@FourLowAdventures2 жыл бұрын
I have the same car and never miss the low range. But that said it's not the vehicle I take into the high country. I'd say that as a tourer it's perfect, but using hill descent control on steep tracks the brakes would probably overheat on some of the slopes around here in summer. That's just here in Vic, if you live in WA then it's probably no issue.

Are those rated recovery points at the front?
@perth4b4adventures4 жыл бұрын
Hey bud they are standard bull bar recovery points but like most manufacturers, they aren’t rated.
