Great video @patient investor I definitely dont agree with all the principles here. But there's a lot of great info here. Esp with the valuation websites and DCFs. Thats not the end all be all of buy/sell

The GAAP non-GAAP thing can be frustrating. Most sites don't indicate which value they are showing and sometimes the non-GAAP numbers aren't in the 10-K/Q.

So, with a company like Cisco that just acquired Splunk for an whopping 28 billion $ (all cash deal) saying that it will completely turn around the company and the synergies will create 4b $ annual recurring revenue moving forward... How much weight should be given to this when calculating the value of future cash flows?

bad company CANNOT be a good investment even if you pay the right price....bad company goes out of business and your investment goes zero. Trading is a different thing but investment?

And I proved it wrong for 3 years , it's all on youtube and 40% ytd, buying bad companies below fair value and selling them above fair value, Graham style, thanks

@@thepatientinvestor9580 then that’s more like trading than investing. Investing for me is like buying and holding it for long term. Bad company could be undervalued but then you buy and it goes bankrupt. The risk is not for everyone’s taste.
