I had the same experience with being unable to read the faces. I remember being super excited for LA Noire as a kid and looked forward to the parts where you had to read people's facial expressions. Then when I got the game the very first interrogation you have to do I failed over and over. I eventually just put the game down and never played it again cuz I had no fucking idea what I was supposed to be doing.

Fair enough what you say about Dutch in 1, he's not all there and we barely get to know him here and he's better in 2, but he's not the main antagonist. Edgar, the guy who kills John, takes that title cause he shows up more often and is the one you end the game by killing.

There is definitely more nuance in the story of Max Payne 3 than you give it credit, and Max does mention Mona once in the cemetery level, clearly indicating that it wasn't the best part of his life so it makes sense that's she's barely mentioned.

RDR1 and Undead Nightmare were not as glitchy to my memory as you say but I played on the original PS3. I think the ports are more glitchy than the originals.

If it's about Undead Nightmare, then the Game of the Year editions and Undead nightmare physical release are buggy messes if you update the game. Undead nightmare as DLC to RDR1 is fine.

As a dj, Beaterator and DJ Hero were two huge gateways into music making and mixing for me as a child. I probably wouldn’t love Beaterator today but I still adore DJ Hero. But I really got a lot out of Beaterator, making a lot of beats back in the day.

The writing for Max is kinda, all pver the place. Max isn't at the top of his game, so he makes questionable decisions all the time, and he pays for it, constantly. I will agree tho, the Branco storyline was kinda whatever, totally predictable, but even still I didnt mind it. I just love Max as a character, he feels so real in that game, he's probably the most vulnerable he''s ever been and I enjoyed that
