Looks like that trans is a d16y8 trans and if it is then you can put speed factory shifter springs in it to improve shifting

You should get a traction bar for the front and also look into getting a bushing kit from hard race Get a center roll adjustment ball joint you might want to raise the rear end two to level it out so the front is not higher than the back it’s better for a drag launches but good job so far looks great and a lot of the problems you’re having is that when it grip so hard you can break axles and transmissions what do you service transmissions they tend to break easy because it takes a lot of the brunt force of the drag launch so what the two steps you might want to raise it up pretty high because you could spin the tire which is better than actually locking up and gripping and then breaking axle

put all new shifter bushings in the shift linkage and bottom of the shifter itself, and use a stock shifter and use all oem honda replacement parts you will feel a world of difference in the shifter and shifting at high rpm will be much easier for you

Careful with those push button hood pins, a channel called BeyTek just had his fail. Hood flew up and ruined the roof on his freshly painted K swapped FD RX-7.

Hey Trevor duuuude Have you ever heard of Quaife? Get a d series quaife lsd and you can drop it in any d trans , makes them way stronger than any oem lsd d tranny, which are already extremely rare and expensive. In ten years of Honda stuff I have only ever seen one lsd d trans and it sold in one night for 800$

Put a tear drop tip on the up pipe and the wastgate dump, then cut the hood and make a nice trim ring so it doesn’t just look like a glory hole.

Was the car originally auto? If it was, maybe whoever converted it mounted the shifter in the wrong spot? I'd try New master, new slave, good fluid, maybe team up with action clutch and upgrade that too if the shifting issues persist. Or just k swap it lol

Trevor you should get yourself a 335d diesel bmw as a daily. Stage 2 cars have crazy amounts of torque (550+) and get 40 mpg on the highway!!

d-series is the best that's all ive ever had is turbo single cams. Even if you do break some parts here and there the parts are so cheap you can just grab another trans from the junkyard for $100 or whatever and get it back together to go racing again the next weekend that's the way to do it if your gonna race it your gonna break stuff that's just the nature of the beast. I know a guy who built a 700hp sti dumped a ton of money into it has a built IAG motor and huge turbo tons of expensive parts and he hasn't raced the car once because he knows he cant afford to fix it if it breaks so it just sits in the garage most of the time and maybe he will take it to a car meet or two once in a while but that is it lol. A cheap racecar is always better.

And you should really strip down that other civic the donor car and takeoff everything you can because you’ll need it later on in life trust me you’re going to find that having extra parts is better suspension parts is very vital for these type of set ups because you could always just send out the old suspension parts and get them Preston with new bushings MCP makes a great kit for this should check it out I like this build Also you should get a different shifter hybrid racing has the best shifter on the market right now highly adjustable b/d series That shifter with a Billet bushing set I’ll give it a way better shifting feel really Great gear section feel For the brake set up you might want to look into accord came out with a dual piston caliper that is stock you just need a bracket in the right up to your hub and for the rear end you can use Integra rear brake calipers are just a rear end set up it brings it to disc and I believe the disc are bigger and the pistons are better so you should do that set up it’s rather Tivoli cheap and easy to install and if you find a Integra take the rack and pinion off of that Integra especially if it’s a non-power steering Integra take the master cylinder in the proportional valve off of it and then use the rear brake set up you can also put it any sway bar if you get the ASR rear kit Have them out for the anti-sway bar and it stiffens up the rear and then you can get solid and links and you probably want to look up the rear trailer alarms because they suck on the stock ones you could either get adjustable ones or you can get a solid billet style trailing arms

Trev, if you want, send me the dimensions for your hood exits. I can cut some out of sheets of aluminum at work on my laser. Send me the ID, OD, shape (circle, or teardrop), and screw hole location, for both your hood exits; and I'll cut it out of aluminum. I can countersink the screw holes and get it anodized in black or silver. I haven't played with engraving on my laser yet, but, I could maybe probably most likely engrave the MA youtube logo on them.
