Babies are really smart! If you keep having her repeat “Dada” and consistently use it when talking about Elijah (such as saying “Come here Dada” and then Elijah responding to the call or pointing at him while saying the word), she’ll have that connection between the word and Elijah and will most likely use that word to call Elijah! I know when my niece was growing up, my sister didn’t realize that my niece was picking up on her language usage and so she picked up “Honey” instead of “Dad” for a while LOL. Continue talking to her and interacting with her and you’ll see how she grows and develops! It’s amazing to watch!

@@KaylaKosuga It’ll naturally get picked up as she continues to grow but for sure the words you use daily, she’ll make a connection in her brain right now and it’s easier for her due to the plasticity in her brain! Just like how she understands that she’ll get milk from breastfeeding! She has already made a connection of that! Continue talking to her, interacting with and just speaking in general and she’ll naturally pick up on words like “phone”, “bottle”, “blankie” and etc.! And it’s also said to be helpful to speak naturally to her as you would to any other person, even allowing time for her as if she were speaking back and having a conversation with you! It’s said to help with language skills later on :)

I just subscribed and watched several of your videos yesterday of when you were pregnant. I feel for women who have a hard time during pregnancy. I was pregnant once in 1979 and my daughter was born Jan. 1980. I had no morning sickness, one food aversion eggs 🥚 but I ate them occasionally. Great appetite! No other negative symptoms but I went from 91 to 149 lbs. but I lost it in 8 weeks due to breastfeeding and my mad metabolism. My labor was very long 18 hours 7am-9pm mild progressive pain. 9:30 pm hospital dilated to 3 admitted. Front and back labor level 10 for hours multiple pain meds . Pain block about 2:40. Delivery pain free 3:20 am. I did tare. Quick recovery! Up and about moving normally in the hospital. My daughter was on feeding 6, 10, and 2 in the hospital and I stuck to it and she never got off and started sleeping from 10pm-6am at 8 weeks and gradually 10pm to 8am. She’s 41 and still sleeps like a baby! Every journey is different 💜
