We all have that one dog that that no other dog can replace. Mine was cami, she was 125lbs of muscle but the sweetest most loving dog I’ve ever had. Diabetes took her at only 7 years young.

Thanks for sharing the story about Blue. So many times men think it makes us look weak to show any kind of emotion other than anger or the love we have for our family but I think to show a little sadness now and then is a true mark of a man. What do I know though I’m only fifty and been married for thirty years. Also I’ve lost a few dogs that still make me take a minute when I tell there story. Love you guys. It’s alright Luke … it’s an experience to learn from …. Gabe … fur kids hold places in our hearts almost like our kids do … they’re loving/sweet, ready to do anything with you, and always happy to see you when you’ve been gone whether 5 minutes, or 2 weeks). Their love, and joy they share with us, burns hot and bright, but always ends far to soon. I understand.

Excellent video BlueGabe! My best memories of my childhood are of coon hunting with my grandfather, dad, brothers, and later friends. So often now, kids are allowed to choose not to be a part of this valuable experience. I’m sure they will remember as I do now. And good work with the story about Blue. We had a Black and Tan coon hound named Joe. We got him from an old friend that everybody knew as “Chopper”. He owned his own sawmill, hence the name Chopper. But his real love was raising and training these Black and Tans. They were like his kids. Anyway, our Joe was an awesome dog! He had the best “personality” a dog could have. Around home, he was just so calm and friendly, but when we went out on a hunt, he was ALL BUSINESS! Nothing like hearing him “tree” one! Those were great times and great memories, with Joe and my Dad, who left us in 2015. My brothers and I still love to sit and re-live those cold, crisp nights running Joe and treeing those “cats”! Gabe, thanks for sharing your hunting stories! You got me thinking back, pulling up all those great memories of our Dad and us hunting and fishing together!!

Don't loss those memories. Scan and digitize all your photos, negatives and slides. Catalog them in folders. I've been scanning the last few years and I am still not done. When I email them to people they are filled with appreciation and emotion. As for Luke, if it's brown it's down.

Luke, Big question did you kill it ? It happens so long as it wasn't a person or someone's dog, now thats bad did it hurt the decoy turkey cause it feels no pain.
