I am determine to hit 280kgs without sumo stances. Nothing against anyone but if I can make it harder while competing I will do it in my off season training. Nothing like lifting heavy weights and knowing that if a bodybuilding did it 250kgs they would struggle pass 3x. At the end of the day I love the powerlifting community. So many kind people who shed ego lifting and offer great advice. You can't bullshit your way to 240kgs even with bro science.

Yes in fact youre supposed to raise your hips up as you lift the bar from the floor, not before, it took him years to realize that which must be why his conventional deadlift is so weak even though his squat is at the elite level. People say he is on steroids but my guess is that its just genetics. His bench isnt that strong and neither is his deadlift. I doubt he can even ohp 2 plates.

2016: That bench press was sweet In 2019: Maybe I was doing close grip bench press, lemme go wide and boom
@leebauer27504 жыл бұрын
It seems like he matured and learned to use better leverages. After getting injured. Switched both to sumo and wide grip. We both use the same stance for each powerlift actually.
@amitpatel69514 жыл бұрын
@@leebauer2750 I do conventional And benchpress grip is ok not too wide... Cuz my wrists hurt if I go too wide need to work on wrist mobility
@leebauer27504 жыл бұрын
@@amitpatel6951 I should rephrase he found his better leverages. Not everyone pulls more with sumo. Not everyone can bench with a wide grip. But that's something you have to figure out yourself as a lifter. He really figured it out over the course of 2016-2019. That's a better way to phrase it.

Brosplits suck dude they give you shit results for a natural. Since I started doing full body workouts I am making the best gains of my life, I squat, bench press and overhead press 3 times per week for 3 sets of 5. I never stay stuck at the same weight for more than 2 workouts in a row, and if I do get stuck, then I remove 10% of the weight and rebuild from there and break through my plateaus.
