Reading between the lines, I interpreted his advice as: do not put all your eggs 🥚 in one basket 🧺, and always be vigilant of who/whom you associate with, and not to be naïve of your surroundings. African parents, very often speak in riddles 😂😂😂😂, and it’s our responsibility to unpack the message or messages from their sentences. We sometimes get it immediately and at times unfortunately we come to the realization a bit late, but we eventually get it. He comes across as a cool 😎 dude, but looked as though he was sleep deprived but immediately perked up when you told him you are happy he is your dad.
