Thank you buddy, really appreciate your kind comments. Most definitely the calm before the storm. I always find those moments incredibly interesting from a psychological perspective, it’s always interesting to see how people react and what systems they’ve developed and put in place in order to micromanage their stress levels, anxiety etc.

@@RecoveryLabTV Yeah it really looked it! I am hoping to give one a go one day. I have had a lot of injuries which have hindered my fitness (ACL inflammation, sprained ankle twice,etc). Hoping that once I have worked on fitness and injury recovery that I can start doing races, Ironmans and more!

@@RecoveryLabTV I initially had an ACL inflammation injury from running. Went to a Physio and it was because I pulled my hamstring years ago and never got it up to strength compared to my other leg. So now working on that. In terms of the ankle, I did this playing football, any advice on recovery for that / working on improving the strength of my ankle? 😃

@@RecoveryLabTV Well the Roth bike course is super fast and every year together with the government they take away any minor obstruction, slight bump or little unevenness -> absolutely great bike course. High speed.

Congrats man!! I want to do this next year, as Ironman ireland may not be returning. In training, how fast were you able to do the swim bike and run ??
@RecoveryLabTV
@RecoveryLabTV 3 ай бұрын
Thank you buddy! It's a real shame about Ireland as it was a great race and the atmosphere was equally as great! Hopefully it returns soon in some format. In regards to my training, I'm usually a 1:10 distance swimmer, 6:30 bike and the run is usually my weakest so I tend to run at a 6:30 min/km pace. This year in the build up to this I completed my first continuous triple Ironman, so did a lot of zone 2 pace work. I only had 6 weeks to prepare for Ironman Wales so didn't have the opportunity to add much pace development work, only 4 weeks really. In a normal Ironman programme there would be much more race specific development. Will this be your first Ironman next year?
