I do own one (x) and it’s such a fun camera to shoot for all the reasons you mentioned. I like a camera that can easily fit in my handbag and that’s hard to come by.

I just bought a Ricoh for the second time ; I had the griii 2 years ago and it was my only edc ; the af drove me crazy . Now I have 2 Sony a74’s , an x100v and now the griiix that I got about a week ago . I hear you with that being tired of beastly cameras for everyday shooting . I gave my vi preorder away to a friend which they already got on the first batch because of that and I can’t stand the xt5 af system . Now knowing what I was getting into with the Ricoh I can enjoy it more and if I need better I’ll take the v . I got it tho because it’s a pocket cam . The menus are easy but the auto wb blows on the camera as well as the auto nd so I have to shoot in manual which is kinda a headache but it’s not the worst thing .

Thanks for your detailed feedback and personal experience! I agree with you, it aint perfect by all means and definitely not the most pro and complex camera out there but it is prolly the reason we enjoy it here and there - it's a breath of fresh air! Take care ;)

I did own one. What I didn't like was the way the lens came out. Mine got jammed with dust. And no viewfinder. Why not just use your phone. The image quality between the new iPhone 15 pro max and the Ricoh is very close

I would highly doubt that the image quality is comparable to an iphone 15 pro max.... also you just named an item that cost at least 1500$ if not more if you need decent storage the sensor size and the advantage of a much bigger sensor is what will differentiate it. The only reason why i won't get the ricoh is cause it cannot film as well and I would like a more versatile camera to go on vacation with. the dust jamming is one hell of a problem though and I would hate for it to jame like yours. If i can find one for 500-600$ I would like to play around with it i have seen amazing photos taken with it

@@DuncanDimanche-sreview You should have a look at the Fujifilm XF10. Its a fixed lens, no jamming, the same image quality, and is very reasonable to buy plus same size
