There is something really satirical and silly about the vintage barbies, they are super meme-worthy...the modern barbies are too serious, they lack imagination and fun and any kind of whimsical seems to be made on purpose by very non-whimsical ppl. I feel like the vintage barbies were very gay and magical...i just love them!

I'm literally so obsessed with 90's Barbie. She was everything! The hair the dolls had back then was just so gorgeous. My collection is pretty much exclusively 90s dolls because the quality was perfect and the style was impeccable. Just seeing them brings me back to my childhood. Such good vibes 💕

When I was a kid in the 80's my Barbies were super hard to dress- especially in pants. The snap legs were kind of sticky and super frustrating. Most of their clothes had really hard plastic snaps, too, that hurt your fingers. The "my first" Barbies (which came out after I was really still playing with dolls) were great because their legs were the nice hard, smooth plastic that made them really easy to dress. Just a bit of insight from an 80's kid! Love your channel!

@acreasy1225, I hated those plastic snap buttons especially on Potty Training Kelly and Rainy Day Jenny and Eating Fun Kelly. The girls' outfits were very hard to get off of them. I felt like their clothes should have had velcro instead of those snap buttons.

I love the fact that your parents always gaved you Barbies and support that you'll play w then! It makes me happy to see there are people especially nowadays who knows that toys don't have a gender. I've started to collect recently and every time I see these type of videos it has a lot of power over me, because I wasn't able to collect or owe one as a kid (machism :S) and the one thing that I was able to do was dream about it through internet, drawing and the movies that I secretly watched all of them. Thank you for sharing your collection, since I started seeing your videos you inspired me to accept dolls as something that I love!

@lilyb2334, I had an Ice Cream Shoppe Barbie for my 7th or 8th birthday in the late 90's. She had purple earrings, purple overall shorts, purple ring, and purple boots. She came with an ice cream pad and there was a ice cream purse on her overalls. Her top was white with pink sleeves. One time when I played with her, I lost her beautiful ring and never found it 😢. I love rings on Barbies too. I hated when I lost my doll's ring though.

90's Barbie's were the best Barbie era there was always something magical about them either colour changing clothes or hair, they came with good quality clothes the hair was much better quality and no Barbie ever looked the same the makeup, hair, clothes even eye colour varied, now we get the same face, stiff bodies unless you get a MTM body, they are just clones with awful hair!!! I get MTM bodies and give them to my 90s dolls. My faves are the longer hair ones off course. My collection of 90s dolls have all been rerooted to how I would want them to be!!! Thanks for the trip down memory lane!

Awesome collection! When I was really little, 2 different relatives both bought me a Pearl Beach Barbie, so I had twins! Even though they were technically the same doll, their faces had enough subtle differences to make them stand apart from one another. Oh for the days of non-pixelated Barbie faces! I'm so jealous! I had so many dolls! My aunt, who helped me pack, tossed them when I moved. I was so upset when I unpacked & discovered they were missing. Some of those dolls were my mother's dolls! I think she thought that I was too old to have them (I was 16 at the time). 😔🙁 I had such a creative mind! I loved to write stories & then use the dolls as characters. I even had a white board for drawing/inspiration. My dream was to become an author or a screenplay writer. Now things have changed & I've gone into healthcare, but everytime I see those dolls, I smile & remember my creative, younger self.

I was a massive Barbie fan as a little girl and I always preferred vintage Barbie’s - my mom had a suitcase filled with 70s Barbie’s and I always played with them over my early 2000’s Barbie’s! My grandma has a 60s Barbie with those crooning eyes with the blue eyeshadow and I thought she was so gorgeous!

The Barbie with long blonde hair in Purple dress is Pretty Choices Barbie and it's from 1996, special edition for Walmart... I had her! But unfortunately I had to sold her. Maybe I'll get another one later (a Brunette versión).

It's fun to watch these kinds of videos and see what dolls I had as a kid! It's funny, I was born in 1997, so I'm guessing that most of the ones that I did have from the 90's were ones that I never remembered actually getting...they just showed up in my toy box one day! LOL
