You are so right! Some people don't dress accordingly to the season/weather conditions! When it's hot, you want to stay cool and comfortable. How many times have I seen a woman dressed in skinny/tight jeans and a spaghetti strap vest?! Arms might be cool, but the rest if the body isn't. I too have 3 summer dresses. In fact that is the ONLY 3 that I have! Over here in the UK, we don't have dependable weather. No point in wearing a dress if you need layers over it to keep you warm and dry! Brilliant video again!

I feel like the UK and Holland are very similar in weather. Can't imagine having 4 straight months of heat, I think I woudn't make it 😂

You and your video both are like fresh air. 7 pieces , true summer staples. Simple, breathable, nice looking and practical. I wear similar things in Houston hot summer, natural fiber, simple cuts, lighter colors that go with each other. And the practical view you have on occasion dress is spot on. I don't understand why any one needs a new dress for each wedding. Who would remember what you wore last time? People are busy worrying about their own problems. They don't spend much time remembering what you wore. Also, if it looks good , why would one abandon it just after wearing it once.

That very sweet of you!😊 I think it's a very wasteful thing that people consider to be normal these days. Back in the day, people didn't have money to buy new clothes for every different occasion so you just wore your best clothes for the day. I think you should own one or two dresses (summer/winter) that are more formal and you're good to go for the coming years! 👍🏻

I have a more feminine style myself and I live in the UK where even at the height of the summer months it can be miserable and wet but I thoroughly enjoyed watching this video! There's nothing in my closet that I dislike and I barely declutter anything anymore. It feels amazing to see items that you've had for 6 years and still love. Hi!! New subscriber here! I love your channel and style. That green dress is so beautiful on you. Just a quick tip: if you get a fat stain like the mayonnaise for example, you can cover it with cornstarch or arrowroot powder or even talcum powder and let it rest 5 minutes and brush the powder off. It will take out the fat stain out without the need to wash it.

I’m glad I found your channel, I also wear only natural fibers and materials. The only exceptions are some older pleated poly skirts (permanent pleating isn’t really possible with natural fibers, apparently) and rain boots. For years now, I haven’t even bought synthetic blends, after I realized even a small percentage of them makes me uncomfortable. At least for my body core, where it matters the most. I wear ask much silk as I can afford, it’s by far the most comfortable, except for hot weather, when I wear mostly linen. I also have a classic to preppy style.❤

I think the slightest bit of polyester will just make the piece smell so quickly! Also clings to the body a lot quicker. I have a very nice dress in my AW wardrobe that's polyester but if I wear that I will always put a cotton top underneath. Works quite well! Polyester linings are my shopping nemesis, I just can’t stand them. Banana Republic has been using breathable rayon instead for some of their jackets, I love that!

My summer staples are tailored woven linen dresses for going out, but unstructured linen jersey ones for relaxing at home, where I am most days. I get these from H&M and love them, but they are too shapeless and sheer for public wear, wearing a slip or belt would defeat the purpose. I also wear linen skirts, tees and shirts and trousers, but not as much. My California climate is similar to the Cote d’Azur’s, so I often overheat in cotton. It gets around 40C or more in high summer. I would love to know which country you’re from, I’m guessing you might be Dutch, based on the lack of a foreign accent in your excellent English and your features. You have the high cheekbones of us with Dutch ancestry, but I’m half-Greek, too.
