This was a fantastic episode seeing Kara and clack having a snowball fight in space was heart warming and man that ending was so sad see what brainiac made Kara do and seeing proof that there are green lanterns out there was crazy

The gaslighting Brainiac was putting Kara through was awful. Seeing her mental struggle was tough. Especially after seeing a glimpse of the real Kara playing with Clark.

This latest episode was definitely great. Superman awakened, kidnapped again, only this time he's lost in space. As misguided as Kara is shown to be, deep down, she does want to bond with Clark. Despite not agreeing with each other, Clark and Kara are definitely bonding. I can't help but enjoy how Clark teases Kara when he realizes that she has a crush on his friend Jimmy. Of course, Kara gets him back by pretending that the helmet part of her suit is malfunctioning, only to reveal to Clark that super powered kryptonians can survive in the vacuum of space. It was nice seeing them play in space. Apparently, Clark is aware of the moments when he suddenly gets more powerful and how it's usually due to a moment when he needs to protect someone. Kara seems to show signs that such a phenomenon has never happened to her. When Clark and Kara arrive on Thanagar and see it destroyed, this is where we start to see the cracks in Brainiac's conditioning over Kara. Kara showed signs of not knowing what Brainiac had her do to the planets that are made a part of the new kryptonian empire. Brainiac, tired of waiting, sends his drones to get Kara and Superman back on course with his ship, which apparently is this show's version of Kandor. We are also made painfully aware that Kara has no knowledge of her biological father Zor-El. Her adopted father is Primus Brainiac, and he's quite the villain in this episode. Around Kara, Brainiac acts like a father, but he shows more of his true personality around Clark when it's just them. Brainiac revealed to Kal-El that he knew both of his biological parents Jor-El and Lara, using that knowledge to lure Clark in. It marks the first time Clark learned about his biological mother's name. Then to test what Superman is capable of, he has his drones take on the form of a Green Lantern, and Parademon, and a Thanagarian. After seeing Superman's great potential, Brainiac is convinced that he can use Superman's powers to restore the kryptonian empire, starting with the conquering of Earth. Naturally, Superman won't let Brainiac take over Earth or use him as his weapon, but Brainiac clearly is going to try to force Superman to his will. Despite Superman's best efforts, once Brainiac used a red sun energy field, it was easy for him to subdue our kryptonian hero. To make things worse, we start to see the full effects of Brainiac's conditioning over Kara. It's a combination of raising her, manipulating her, and even brainwashing her. However, her time with Jimmy and Clark have influenced Kara to learn the truth of what Brainiac had her do, which seemed to set her up on a path to redemption. A small glimmer of hope is shown when a ship reaches Kara carrying Lois, Jimmy, Malah and the brain. I can't wait to see explanation of how they got into space in the next episode.

Maybe the darkest Superman story to ever hit the screen. But because of what the show is at its core, its heart and how deeply it understands and loves all its characters, the darkness felt more like texture to the heart and love of the show, rather than the whole point of the episode. Snyder has a lot he could learn about the right way to tell Superman stories by watching this show.

For me, I just realized that there was really no general zod for this show And as it turns out, Kara the Supergirl was actually playing the role as zod but mind controlled like she didn’t really know what was going on.

Finally this episode beat the coping Invincible allegations as I predicted. Also it was sweet seeing Clark and Kara’s relationship grow and was sad when Supergirl learned the truth about what Brainiac did to her. I’m pretty sure the next episode is going to be about Lois and Jimmy getting that spaceship at the end of the episode which would probably mean Jimmy is broke now. Also I love the universe building this show has. I wonder if My Adventures with Superman is going to pull a The Batman season 4 where Batman crosses over with the Justice League for most of that season.

This was a good episode. Kara and Clark bond and we see brainiac was behind a lot of the bs . Poor Kara was brainwashed and groomed which brings me too my question how the hell did Jimmy get the money for that space craft and suits because that would cost more than 2 million which is all he has left. And don't get started on the preview for next week Amanda on her bs again

I prefer ignoring all the troublesome retcons that have plagued the Hawks in comic books since the Hawkworld mini-series was foolishly changed from a Year One story to a modern origin. The Golden Age Hawks are Hawkman and Hawkgirl: reincarnated Egyptian royalty and members of the Justice Society (with Hawkgirl also serving a time or two on the Justice League after coming back in the recently deceased body of her own grand-niece). The Silver Age Hawks are Hawkman and Hawkwoman: Thanagarian cops who came to Earth chasing down the criminal Byth and stayed, joining the recently formed Justice League. There's really no reason to make that more complicated by moving the timeline, trying to say both Hawkmen were the same guy, introducing Thanagarian impostors and Hawk Gods...just keep it simple.

If you get too scared you can always watch the Short Circuit movies, or Iron Giant, or Flight of the Navigator, or Batteries not Included, or Chappee, or Wall-E, or the Data episodes of Star Trek like Measure of a Man, or read Factoring Humanity, or some comics with Red Tornado, Vision, Viv Vision, Tomorrow Woman, Machine Man, Jacosta... For balance there's always Transformers (Autobots and Decepticons both), Go-Bots, Robotix...also there's Kelex to balance out the bad Kryptonian AI version of Brainiac.
